!! Warning about 3D/Quake 3 usage!! - For all other tasks (code, web browsing, mplayer, UAE) it works fine.
I was asked in PM if the board had sound issues with Quake 3 or SDL games. I installed Q3 then made some test.

I detected that the fan of the Radeon 9000 Pro was starting to fail (that's the loud rattling noise in the background). But no crash or issue with game sound. So I switched the gpu to a Radeon 9250 fanless.

No more rattling noise, but some issues with sound (very high pitched noise happen two times) and it seems the GPU is overheating.

I never used my Pegasos for 3D gaming before so I'm just discovering those issues. I do not know if it is related to the motherboard or the gpu, and if just replacing the 9000 pro fan will be sufficient. I'm posting those info on the thread so everyone could be aware of potential quirks.

Can you post a ragemem benchmark, because there is a old firmware (smartfirmware) version installed? I am interessted how fast or slow the access to ram and agp well be.
