I’ve never had a similar problem. I worked a lot in Scala IC500, typed a lot of things and created TV captions, and I’m sure I would have noticed if the number 2 key was causing an issue.

Sorry, this is to disable the Blizzard on bootup.

If you press and hold the number 2 key on boot, it should disable the blizzard, would you know if this works on yours ?

Are the heatsinks glued on, can they be removed easily, can the A1200 trapdoor close with the heatsinks on ?

I’ve never tried turning it off during boot. I actually removed one just to test, its very easy to remove. I installed them because it sometimes happened that the Amiga would reset by itself, and I thought it might be due to the CPU temperature. In fact, it was because of the 2B motherboard revision, so I had to do the timing fix on motherboard. After the timing fix, everything worked perfectly. But I didn’t remove the heatsinks because I wasn’t closing the trapdoor anyway. These 68060 rev. 1 processors run quite hot.

I had a Blizzard 1260 which doesn't disable the card and I sent it back to the shop and swapped the card.
Cheers awmosoft back in 1995/96 you could do that, my mate brought one back in 1995 and he didn't know you can disable it on a blizzard 030, unfortunately that shop closed years ago for him to exchange.
