im having a strange problem with my pistorm 2k, installed the emu68k on the sd cart wich works fine, but after loading that and the kickstart i can not see any of my zoro cards (gvp scsi controller,x-surfe 100 and my picasso IV) anyone else have the same problem ??

Not sure if this will help, but have you tried it with an original 3.1 kickstart and configure it to use the original one and not the software embedded one?

nop and i don't think i have an 3.1 hardware one, only the 3,1.4

3.1.4 should be fine to test with

hmmm are you on discord? there is a pistorm group on there they maybe able to give you some advice

and as soon as i put my 68k back and my supra 28 it boots up fine

Sent you a discord link via PM

Pistorm2k does not support DMA,
so, any card that uses DMA (gvp scsi) - will fail.
Second important thing - You really need to use long_hold or longer_hold firmware to get Zorro cards working!

so both the gvp scsi the x-surfe 100 and the PIV uses dma cous i can't see any of them

GVP SCSI for sure, don't know about other cards. You definitely need to try to flash longer_hold firmware.

May I ask why do You need Picasso? Pistorm2k offers much faster RTG out of the box?

yes but as loong as the rgb to pi by schultz is not ready it takes 2 monitors and that is not for me

well shouldn't the seller not be pointing that out
you know here in europe we have some EU laws about marketing

The Pistorm started life on the A500 and has been adapted for the A600 and A2K due to their very similar architecture but zorro card have always been trial and error, from what I've seen all new accelerators that are sold, carry the caveats that there maybe conflict issues with other hardware even the BFG9060 and Z3660 have compatibility issues and the reason original accelerator are still sort after.

Even some original accelerators have conflict issues with other hardware prime example is the CS MK1, it does not like the Goldengate bridgeboard and a few other pieces of hardware.

Remember these new accelerators have been designed by clever Retro Enthusiasts, but they wont own every piece of amiga hardware out there to conduct tests on everything.

Well, yes and no..
There are official shops (these possibly have no clue about special A2000 firmware for Pistorm2k) but these offer some kind of hardware warranty, and there are builders around here, who are doing some tests before hardware is shipped... I can only advise You to return Your card and purchase hardware from trusted HW sellers..
In other hand - nothing will break if You will reflash Your Pistorm2k..

PiStorm is a (genius) hobby project by Amiga enthusiasts! It's not a commercial product and doesn't come with any warranty. Nevertheless its very popular and in various Amiga forums, social media and of course the dedicated Discord channel of the project has been often discussed that it doesn't support bus arbitration. Thus playing nice with other Zorro expansions is usually a no-no!

Having said that it has become so versatile and loaded with features (and it's developers are still adding more) that in reality if you use it you in your setup it will cover almost all of your hardware needs.
