I see it totally differently..
If You are registering commercial electronic company in EU You need:
1. ensure that all parts are RoHS compliant
2. Use only lead free soldering
3. go through CE and TÜV controls with all Your offered products
4. Pay recycling fees (you can't pay for 1/2 or 1/4 container -- only full container price here in Germany!)
5. Offer 24 months warranty

If all this is done - Pistorm2k should cost You 200€ to be able to cover all these fees.

So either You buy cheap from community contributors, or You pay expensive price and have full commercial service.. I bet You haven't paid more that 60-70€ for Your unit, so stop moaning and do a FW update..
You just need another SD Card with Linux and Firmwares...

Well dont some say the Amiga died because all of the 500 owners were too cheap to buy new machines and pirated all their software? JK. Had to say it.

As an Amiga user you will find yourself with a collection of cards and machines, all of which have their own pro's and con's. Eventually you will find the combination that best fits your expectations.

It is an expensive hobby after all.
