PLAkate, introduced back in 2008, the PROM based PLA which offers 100% compatibility is still available.
PLAkate is less expensive than PLAnkton and it is not for everyone because it has limitations but it is still available and still guaranteed to work as well as a genuine Commodore made PLA or your money back.
The price per unit is 10$US or 9 Euros, less than half the price of the SuperPLA V3. Discount of 15% on orders of 10 units or more.
Unlike most other PROM based products it has been tested with a 500MHz logic analyser to ensure it will not cause glitches or bus contentions

Available for the C64 (906114-01), C16 (251641-02), 1551 disk drive (251641-03) and the Commodore 8296 circuit UE5 (324745-01) and circuit UE6 (324744-01).
C64 version fully tested with Fastload, Super Zaxxon cartridge, 1541 Ultimate 1 and 2 and Easyflash 3

Cons:
Will only work on boards 250425, 250466 and SX-64 - NOT recommended for boards 250407, 326298 and KU-14194 - if you have one of these boards you should use PLAnkton

Will NOT fit in a Commodore Plus/4
Jens Schönfeld doesn't want you to use it on the C64R (but it was tested on the C64R and works well anyways...)
