yea she was dave but cant remember who she was but had a great big chain saw

She was Juliet (I think) from Lollipop chainsaw (nearly said Daisy Chainsaw, who remembers them?) on Saturday with blue braids in her hair. Quite distinctive and recognisable.

Amy was indeed in cosplay dressed as the girl from lollypop chainsaw, and as far as I can tell of facebook, she's still feeling a bit ill.

Terrible pic, as I was right at the back.

She said she was going as a phsyco cheerleader ... Any reference to Japanese ami or games is hopelessly lost on me...

Hope your better Amy.

Yep, I was right. Get well soon Amy.

Here's Amy, with the 'Batman' guy that spoke to r0jaws and didn't realise that there was a Cosplay competition on!!

Here's a better shot of her outfit:-

As far as we know Dave, he didn't! :picard

Cracking photo's guys! John - that's a prodigious amount of great photo's mate :)

Was a great weekend. Joanna and I loved it and Joanna thought the whole thing was awesome and she enjoyed meeting everyone. I think we have a regular addition to the event! She also said thanks again Dave for the DosBox machine you gave her. We're setting it up on my retro corner later today :)

Cheers

John

No worries, John. Joanna was obviously becoming hooked on some of those old games, so I thought I'd give her something other than IK+ to have a go at...

I'm glad it's gone to a good home.

@ All

I took three Dosbox machines to the event, although we only managed to get one set up on the AmiBay stand on Day 2 - Lemmings and Wolfenstein 3D seemed to go down well and I had a go at Star Wars on it. I took them with the intention of not taking them home and I am pleased that they have been 'recycled' to Miss Skilgannon, Woodycool and r0jaws. I was going to give them to the Replay guys, but they apparently forgot about them.

When I got home on Sunday, I appeared to have mislaid or forgotten to pack the three 17" CRT monitors that I took with them...... I'm sure that the Replay guys can make good use of them. :)

I'm sure that I'll have a few more Dosboxes ready for next time, anyway...

There were a few that weren't too impressed with the Boing Ball T-shirt I wore on Day 2, and they included some of the staff!!

It said Amiga.com, not the other one......

Thanks for donating the T-shirt to the stand, Graham (fatbob_gb). I made a donation into the Recycle Bin funds for it.

Some of my photo's from the weekend :)

John

And some more; including when Phil, Joanna and I went out to the Lass 'O Gowrie to see the "Together in Electric Dreams" play - which was brilliant!...

Got Hi Res versions of all of the photo's I've posted - if anyone wants a higher res version let me know.

Cheers

John

Cheers for the photos chap.
I didn't know who Mike was. We met him in the bar Saturday night and had a couple of beers. I just thought he was a chap that Keith had met earlier in the day, probably from the forum. But he was an interesting guy with some insights into the industry.
Seemed genuinely pleased to be at the show too. That copy of The Chaos Engine Keith and I were holding was Jay's signed copy.
