(Not actually from Tokyo).
I'm going back to my TRS-80 2 computer and the serial number seems VERY low indeed.
No. 335?!
No. 335?!

Alot of S/N's seem to start with a number and anything after that number is the number produced. This is an early model TRS-80 Colour 2, I doubt it got to half a million with the old keyboard type (infact I doubt they even sold 1/2 a mil just in PAL units of this model). I guess it's possibble someone swapped out the keyboard but it is unlikely i'd say.@tokyoracer
Surely that's 500335?

Yes! I do infact think that "asshat" is just the right word for such a person };-S
I don't know how things are in the UK, but over here there's been a noticeable shift in a lot of places towards ensuring that things are recycled through Proper Channels (i.e. broken down for scrap) rather than going to individuals (a lot of larger places, I understand, won't even allow you to buy from them anymore.) The CCTV thing is probably just a rationalization for something like that.strange.
i thought the law was.
Its rubish you can have it If you ask for it and the owner says yes. the owner remains the person who threw it out untill it is collected by the disposal company and then it becomes there property, But you can still ask for it and if they say yes its ok..
so cctv shouldnt have come in to it.. I guess it could be some sort of contractor deal where they arent deemed the owners but the local city council would be the owners and they just collect it for them. but that seems a bit anal to me.. But having said that the way things are going now you will have to call an electrician to come change a light bulb if one fuzes soon.
Just got a Megafire pad for my miggy. I have to open it up, but if there's enough space inside, I'll probably remove the cord and convert it into wireless (got some spare 2.4GHz chips laying around)
Enjoy!
interesting... how do you make the wireless conversion?
