But I spotted a GVP530 on eBay @BIN and had to snap it up as a companion for my a500+

Can't wait for it to come, I'm going to use the Classic Workbench pack with the 1.3 Theme to make it look retr0 and will use a SCSI-IDE bridge & CF to keep it quiet

Finally tracked down a Vectrex that wasn't an arm and a leg.

cosmetically not perfect, but it was a reasonable price.(***)

nice bright screen (i believe they did some refurb work on it so it wouldn't hum as much as well, cap replacements, etc)

plus a copy of Starhawk for it.

additionally a boxed copy of Ms. PacMan for the Atari 7800

Just picked this boxed C64 up locally, box is in great shape with polys too! Pity the T2 cartridge is missing and I've no tape deck for it

Haven't decided if I'm keeping it yet might look into getting some sort of memory card based loading system for it. Tapes put me right off tbh, last time I used a C64 was about 20 year ago I remember I used to love Fire Ant

I've got this little baby for my A4000 never ending project, it took me a while to find the correct one, seem to be rare as truffles

Note: The goo is only residual glue from an sticker or some such, easy to remove.

An S-100 bus MS-DOS system (but before that implied being a direct PC clone!) Mine isn't quite so clean and pretty as the photo, but it's in surprisingly good shape and just needs a little TLC to be working (I think one of the ICs came out of its socket.)

Now I just gotta find a boot disk...

Just done a few laps, it's tricky to get used to and the steering feedback is just weird!

I need to fix it to a desk though, on my lap is impossible - I came second from last against the CPU on hard Level (S Class) around Leguna Seca...

Just downloading Windows 8 Pro. Bought a digital copy for 29.90 eur. Going to give it a try on my laptop. My rig will have to make do with Win 7 Pro.

Bought a ASUS laptop with i5 2450m CPU and got Win 8 Pro for ~15 €
via upgrade campaign.
Really happy with this computer playing X-com, syndicate and giana sisters on it (the reboots) a good bang for the buck.

Just downloading Windows 8 Pro. Bought a digital copy for 29.90 eur. Going to give it a try on my laptop. My rig will have to make do with Win 7 Pro.

Vista I have now just sux so it's either that or downgrade to XP Pro!

Will be getting an SSD first though...

I tried Win 8 and I hated it, perhaps in time that may change. I'd stick with 7 for a while yet.

Just about anything is an improvement over Vista.

I'm mostly curious, how heavily the new UI depends on touch screens and how annoying that will be in mouse use. That's one of the reasons why I'm installing it to my laptop only for now. If you prefer the good ole WIMPS look and feel, you could try to find a cheap Win7 Home Premium.

I've got a copy of Win8 already but I won't install it until I get my Leap Motion (hopefully in Feb - I've pre-ordered mine) as I don't see it making sense without a touch/motion control interface.

Lol, I got one also in an A2000.
If you take the Amiga somewhere, be sure to check that it didn't came lose during transport, before you power it up.
