HP Micro Server, finally up and running! Installed with FreeNAS today and it works great! I will upgrade the Ram but otherwise it's doing great.:D

Welcome to the Micro Server family :) I own both the NL54 and the NL40. Running vmware ESX with 16G ram (not all RAMs work above 8G), HP SmartArray P212/256M Raidcontroller (the embedded one suxx as its software raid), 4 SSD drives and 4 SATA drives. Not that much storage as i run virtual machines, have a QNAP nas for the "real" storage..

Yamaha PSR-48
I seriously can't believe I finally found one of these - and for beer money on the local Craigslist, no less! I've been wanting to get one since forever ago; my aunt and uncle used to have one, and I'd play it every single time I came over. It's ultra-cheesy, but in the best way - it uses PCM samples plus simplistic FM (2-operator, I suspect) much like Yamaha's TG33 vector synth, only really really cheap. And best of all (and the reason it's stuck so firmly in my memory even though I haven't actually seen one in...probably ten years,) it has the absolute best keyboard demo song in world history.

Man, that song. It's everything the '90s were back before the '90s had stopped being the '80s. I love it. Now I just gotta see if I can dump the ROM and get a MIDI copy...

In addition, I put in my order for the Korg MS-20 Mini today - doesn't ship until close to the end of the month, but man is it cool. Full recreation of the original, fully analog, with a sweet semi-modular patch bay and four filters, two resonant...this is gonna be great for all kinds of noises :D

Nice keyboard :)
Gotta love the old Yamaha range.

Got myself one of these today. Actually, this one's not for me, but for a friend. Therefore I was extra nervous when handling the soldering iron (I suck!)
Took me about three hours to desolder and extend the LCD and buttons. I didn't manage to desolder the buttons so I had to piggyback the new ones. I guessed that it would be OK since the buttons don't send signals but rather sends them to GND. It worked perfectly (and I've got two sets of buttons!)
Now, I'll just have to find myself a nice, cheap LCD bezel and I'm good to go to punch this one into an Amiga 500!
Wish me luck!

No offense, but wtf did you try to desolder the buttons????

Was trying to make a clean mod, attach the controller where the floppy resides and have the buttons and LCD on the upper case with headers so that they could be easily removed.
Hopefully, my mate won't try to bend his miggy open after receiving it. ;)

If you build the connectors out of proto-board it's 100% reversible (hxc):

The only thing that isn't "removable" on my hxc without soldering is the connector block for the buttons I soldered on - but because its a connector block the wiring for the external buttons is removable.
