Wow. You obviously haven't tested it yet, otherwise we would have noticed the lights flickering across Europe and heard all those fans running up! :D

Bryce.

Not yet! It came without CPUs so have had to source a set of four PIII Xeon 550s.

It sits with the others until they arrive.

Lol I had a 6ru HP 8x Xeon DL 7 series server, it got fired up once for 5 mins and was then promptly turned off after my unimpressed wife told me she could hear it outside the house in the back yard (i was up the front of the house in the garage 25 metres away).

It went straight onto eBay and sold for a very tidy profit. Some student bought for his cna as it also had 8 gigabit network ports.

Wow, glad I stuck with the Intel stuff now. All 3 of my quads are fairly quiet to have on in the house once they get through their POST.

Only time they start screaming is when they develop a fault!

4x Xeon's are relatively quiet but double it in the same physical space and the cooling retirements escalate dramatically!

Ps Xeon's are Intel CPU's.

After much annoyance due to a few too many factors that I had to tackle one at a time and with the help of some of you I've managed to get my new SCSI2SD board up and running in my A3000.

Now I just need to find out what's causing the issue with the video output.

I used brass and plastic stand-offs together to mount the SCSI2SD board to the HDD bracket. It looks clean and works great.

Freedom Fighters is a complete sleeper. Once you get into it, it's very good. Nice lot you picked up. I love the gamecube.

I'm going to Microsoft's Ignite Australia conference this week so I thought I'd show my true colours...

Amazing monitor. But do your eyes get tired with such a big monitor? 4k makes a big difference?

But do your eyes get tired with such a big monitor? They were playing up at first but ok now.

4k makes a big difference? I had 2 24in 1200p and 1 1080p before and they took up too much room i can get it all on this 1 monitor now. the 28in 4k is too small to read the txt unless your really close up, but this is great for that now.

I've been looking at getting a 28in 4k (Acer). You can always make the text bigger in the OS. Above 28in the prices seem to rise almost expotentially and I don't have room for anything bigger anyway.

Bryce.

Scaling still sucks in Windows. I would buy a 28" 2560x1440 or a curved 29-34" 3440x1440 monitor instead.

I'd only change the text size, not scale the entire display (The PC runs on Linux anyway). Unfortunately 28in really is the limit on my desk, 30in doesn't fit. I'm also not a big fan of those curved screens and as stated, the prices start getting silly above 28in.

Hello, an external floppy drive reached my hands today but I can't find what kind of port is it that it uses. It also has an adapter with SCSI.
