Some nice acquisitions there!

I've tried on multiple occasions to get into the LEGO video games but I just can't. The animations and cut scenes are amazing but the gameplay is just about solving simple puzzles and collecting bricks, which is a bit boring to me. Maybe they get more difficult and exciting farther into the games but I never got far enough into them to find out.

Heather

I have a few of the Lego games, mostly the Star Wars ones for PS2, mainly I grabbed those 2 because they were cheap-ish anyways (+30% off) and I am a fan of Indiana Jones as well, but also because I hadn't gotten any actual DS games for the DS I got a few months back (but have tons of GBA games anyhow) - the thrift shop I went to also had a DS-lite for cheap, but no charger so there was no way to tell if it was working...with my 30% off I was tempted tho...

I was also a little surprised no one had snagged the Han Solo in Carbonite figure, it tends to be a little harder to get than most of the other Han Solo ones. (Boba Fett seems to be the 'holy grail' for SW figs :p) and I hadn't bothered to get many of the Episode I figs before, but now after 18 years, and with the new movies coming out, the newer trilogy seems to have grown on me a little bit.

Finding all these French-language Asterix books lately makes me wish I had kept up my high-school french, I still am able to vaguely follow what I am reading, but not really enough...

Just a few "toys" this week...

Borne 3-Speed Portable Vintage Turntable (TB-401-BK) (33/45/78rpm, built-in Stereo speakers, Aux-line in (mp3/phone etc), RCA Stereo out, headphone out, suitcase style) (super cheap sale price too)

Hot Wheels Star Wars ships

Tantive IV (Mattel, 2015)
X-Wing Fighter - Red Five (Mattel, 2014)
"Rogue One" Imperial AT-ACT Cargo Walker Mattel, 2016)

I keep waiting for you to post pictures of your new house, because you must be running out of space for all the stuff you keep finding. :)

Fortunately, the Star Wars toys don't take up that much space...

A few weeks ago I pulled everything out of my store-room and consolidated boxes and got rid of a few things (mostly old boxes - about 13-14 of them...) and managed to re-coup about 20-25% of the room. (took 3 days :p)

that also had the side benefit of managing to get out a few items I had been wanting to use...particularly an EMACS SCSI HD Bay which I had been meaning to use with my Mac Classic (and had forgotten that it had a 1.2GB SCSI drive in it), as well as a couple items I had forgotten I had...a 12-cart Atari/Coleco cartridge organizer, and a Dungeon Master Sound Adapter (parallel port w/ 'atari' type joystick port)

Got a 1541 drive with the xum adapter from here; having lots of fun with Vice - really adds something to the whole emulation process. Having the emulator is tons more convenient but actually coupling it with real hardware is surprisingly fun.

Saying that I also managed to acquire a c64c in near mint condition from the other bay too this week so looking forward to setting that up :)

A bunch of video monitors :P

and now it's 'Games' day :)

had a few extra $$$s (plus early October is GST/Carbon Tax Rebate time, so I guess I can consider that spent already ), and there were a few things I wanted to catch up on, plus a few games I have been meaning to get...

Ghostbusters II: The Board Game (Cryptozoic, 2017) (this one was on a pretty good sale price, and has 60 figures from the 2nd movie, ie: the Scoleri Bros., Vigo, Janosz, as well as large (100mm) Statue of Liberty & Wash. Square Ghost)

Age of Conan: The Strategy Board Game (FFG, 2008 ) (Wars in Hyboria, 170 figures...been meaning to grab this for a while, as it's been out of print, though a kickstarter is apparently bringing it back)
Age of Conan: Adventures in Hyboria expansion (Ares, 2016) (25 more figs for AoC + other additions)

Star Wars Rebellion: Rise of the Empire expansion (FFG, 2017) (additional content for Rebellion, particularly dealing with the Rogue One storyline - with an additional 36 figs)
Star Wars X-Wing C-ROC Cruiser (+ M3-A Interceptor) (FFG, 2017) (nice big cruiser for 'Fringe'/Scum and Villainy fleets)

BoardGames_sml.jpg

A couple things on the radar for later this year/early next year for me are Fallout and Twilight Imperium IV, additionally some new ship for X-Wing (Alpha-class Star Wing, Resistance Bomber, M12-L Kimogila Fighter, Phantom II, TIE Silencer) as well as another expansion for Imperial Assault, Heart of the Empire (battles on Coruscant) plus 3 new figs, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano.

and finally...XTC on BluRay day.:D

Drums & Wires (1979), Skylarking (1986) and Oranges & Lemons (1989) with new Dolby 5.1 remixes (+ stereo remixes), remixed non-album demo tracks and 'behind the scenes' type videos of the band.

plus music videos: Life Begins at the Hop, Making Plans for Nigel, Grass, Dead God, The Mayor of Simpleton (UK,US, and 'Long' versions), King for a Day + "The Road to Oranges & Lemons"

(I already have the Nonsuch BluRay)

XTCBluRays.jpg

(and a week or 2 earlier than expected as they were sent from the UK)

Was looking on craigslist and found a beautiful SGI o2 system R10k CPU 1GB RAM Negative scanner the works. Photo lab was going out of business and had it for 50 bucks. I scooped it right up. Its now currently doing negative scanning duty at my house.

How quick is it at scanning? I've been looking for a solution to my scanning needs and most of the machines are very slow.

The damn cardboard is very stiff and I did some damage opening the box so this is the only picture. It's been sold and I didn't want to damage it further.

I have a NIB SNES in box (in a box in storage) that I picked up a few years back for R400 which is / was about $25. Not as good a deal as the SGI for $50 though :-)

Thanks

Its slow for negatives but the quality is top notch. this was a 40k dollar system back in 2000
