Was looking on craigslist and found a beautiful SGI o2 system R10k CPU 1GB RAM Negative scanner the works. Photo lab was going out of business and had it for 50 bucks. I scooped it right up. Its now currently doing negative scanning duty at my house.

How quick is it at scanning? I've been looking for a solution to my scanning needs and most of the machines are very slow.

Its slow for negatives but the quality is top notch. this was a 40k dollar system back in 2000

Sounds very nice. I have so many negatives to scan I need something fast and of good quality.

and of course it was while I was away in BC for a couple of weeks.....now I must destroy you..

wish I had been home, few things there I would've loved (particularly a Tandy 1000RLX 80286 PC clone(ish)...)

I went to an estate sale today and it seems the individual was a collector like us. I did pretty good , but am only one person and had a good deal of competition.

A partial list is:
  • 1 Amiga 1200
  • 1 C128 with drive and monitor (Boxed)
  • 1 VIC20 (Boxed)
  • 1 Amiga 1000 system
  • 5 Tandy 1000s
  • 1 SNES (NIB)
  • 1 Intelivision
  • 1 Intellivision 2 (Boxed)
  • 1 Apple II Clone
  • 1 Apple iiGS Complete System
  • 2 XBox 360s

And heaps of software and other stuff.

Unfortunately it's just the box. I grabbed several Tandy machines in the mayhem, but both of the boxes in the photo are without machines. I think you know who got the RLX. I'm going to attempt a trade with him as I picked up some still-wrapped software I know he wants.

The remaining items I've unboxed so far also include:
  • 1 Atari Trak-Ball (Boxed)
  • 1 Tandy 3200
  • 1 External SCSI box with drive
  • 1 Fujitsu 4700 series keyboard (NIB)
  • 2 Kraft Joysticks
  • 1 Apple II Joystick
  • 1 Amiga 1011 drive
  • 2 Amiga 1010 drives
  • 1 Apple 5.25" drive
  • 1 Mattel soccer handheld
  • 1 Windows NT Workstation (Sealed)
  • 1 OS/2 2.0 (Sealed)
  • 1 DR DOS 6.0
  • 1 Dbase III (Sealed)
  • 2 DEC Vax Manuals
  • 1 Set of Amiga 3000UX system disks.

Here's the first of the lot I've finished with.

I remember those Mattel sports handhelds...which was about all we had before the Nintendo Game & Watch ones came out, I actually enjoyed the hockey one, but they look soooo feeble by todays standards...a few LED lights passing another LED light around, trying to get it past another LED light...

Wish me luck...

Wish me luck...

I may be out of my depth with what's coming next week. All I can hope for is for there to not be as much rust as would appear to be possible.

I've had this IIe system for a bit now and have been fighting with the seller who put no packing material at all in the box to protect it and never bothered to include the printer listed in the ad. Needless to say every piece was damaged. The keyboard was destroyed and would cost as much as I paid for the whole system to replace. I made the mistake after seeing a very small refund possible from FleaBay of claiming through PayPal. PayPal wants me to ship it back at my own expense with only a partial refund. I'd be out of pocket more than I paid for the system and the seller would have it back to part out for profit. So, I'm keeping it and repairing as much as I can. Doing so is less costly. Too bad, my gamble was worth it as the machine was only dirty and has a few good cards in it. If I can glue all the plastics back together I'll have a usable if ugly system.

I have 4 Apple //e's each with the +64k/80col cards (+1 CP/M (Z80) card) and also 7- 5.25" drives and 3- 3.5" drives (which also work on the Mac, I understand the 5.25" drives *may* fry the controller on the Mac), but I assume you got a few AppleDOS/ProDOS disks there...

I also dug out my external SCSI bay and hooked the 1.2GB drive in it on the Mac i got a few months back....very tempted to get a SCSI Zip100 to make transferring data over to the Mac easier...

I am slowly, but surely running out of space to actually live in. :p

Decided to take advantage of a few 'Black Friday' deals this time around, including a new TV since my Plasma is going on 10 years old (man. Jan. 08 )...still works perfectly tho, but the price on this one was less than 1/2 (46%) the price I paid for the 42" LG...

55" RCA 4K-UHD LED TV (RTU5540B) (4xHDMI / 1xVGA / 1xComponent / 1xAV / 1xRF / 1xUSB2.0) (480i-2160p + built in media player (pics + music only))

Lego Star Wars - Luke's Landspeeder (75173) (threw this in since it was cheap-ish + free shipping with the TV)

also have a few gaming items coming, which I will post later (catching up on Imperial Assault + a few other items)

and there's another Star Wars miniatures game coming out: Star Wars: Legion

They're building multimedia players into everything these days. I already had a stand-alone Multimedia player (Xtreamer), but since updating some gear, the Bluray, TV and Satelite receiver all have media players too! So now there's 4 multimedia players on a single screen.

Bryce.

Just bought my first Amiga related item in 2 years! A Vampire 500 V2+

And I won a mint A500+ on a well known auction site I'm picking up at the weekend (prays for no battery leakage!)

Yeah, that's why I wasn't too worried that it was only pics and music through its built in MP, my LG BluRay player plays anything off of CDR/DVDR/BDR or through its USB port, video, music and pics, I have yet to come across a file it refuses to play/display... (doesn't seem to like exFAT, but is good with NTFS)

@ $368CAD (new, walmart.ca, Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal, $288USD equiv.) it seemed ridiculously cheap for a 55" 4K LED TV...

Cheers! I saw the Vampire at Amiga32 so I've been wanting to get one since, when they came into stock at Amigakit I decided to pull the trigger...

Well i didn't think i scored much!
Picked up two A2000's in pretty beat up condition for cheap , One didn't boot up (changed PSU and booted to green screen) Other one boots just fine, thought the keyboard socket is badly corroded due to battery leak.
But then i opened them up and was pleasantly surprised!
If anyone could shed some light on the AX2000 plus, that would be appreciated.IMG_0485.jpgIMG_0476.jpgIMG_0488.jpgIMG_0487.jpgIMG_0482.jpgIMG_0489.jpg

That looks like 2MB of Toshiba RAM on the AX2000 so Im guessing it's a chip-ram expansion board.

EDIT: ok that's the A3000 8372B Agnus so it is a 2mb chip expansion.
