Just got a LCD TV screen with various inputs ( 23 way to scart works spot on) for the miggs @ <snip> a few<snip> quid..off fleabay
Good and bad.
Described as excellent condition..

Ebay seller is a tosser tho' it had a DVD player installed , I found it had a CD jammed in it .and is totally dead.
They reckon it was perfect .

And the bottom edge of the screen is slightly warped due to some heat ? ( I reckon a hair dryer has been put down near it ) as I 've had it apart to get the disc out and there. only 2 speakers in the bent area .

Can't be arsed to send it back as its so cheap and its gonna cost half the <snip> amount </snip> to return it .

As the picture is very good.. will keep it just NEG feedback em!! twonks..

Chris

Sorry I had to edit your post as it could be seen as price driving / guiding which is against the rules and guidelines of AmiBay. I understand you didn't mean it that way so please don't worry, just take some time to read the rules and guidelines. Z

@Ceedy

I have found that if you talk with the sellers and explain the problems you are having - i.e. the DVD Optical Drive and the warped plastic. I am sure they would come to some arrangement to avoid any negative feed-back - you maybe able to get a few quid back for your next buy/purchase =)

(I would advise you not to mention you had the unit apart)

Yay!

My new toy arrived today :)

Asus N10JH - Wanted this for ages but was always too expensive, well like all modern computer hardware price keeps coming down and I grabbed one.

Its an 10in Notepad with 1.66ghz Atom + 2gb Ram, 250gb HDD and switchable Graphics, onboard Intel rubbish for battery saving and NVidia G105M 512mb GPU for everything else :D

Just been playing COD4/Far Cry 2, run great. WinUAE is perfect too.

Well Chuffed

Hi,
Just wondering as I can't quite grasp where I've done a naughty!! ? ;)
Been and had a look ( again!) at the rules and can't see at all, where Me saying I paid X pounds for my TV constitutes any breach? and that posting it back is going to cost half the Value ! ? Again erm! pass? ..

Just need to get to grip with the thinking ?? its not as though I'm trying to sell anything or influence anything
as these are just statements of fact !? aren't they .

take care Chris

I have been slowly amassing small items for my building a desktop version of my A600. I picked up from Ed a black CDTV keyboard that was modified to work with the A4000D. I also got a black Amiga new style mouse from him as well. He also has two more unmodified (pin wise) black keyboards for the CDTV that he got a long time ago that he hasn't used. I am still waiting patiently for the motherboard to arrive before purchasing the desktop case. Even without these when my PC-Key600 is given a price I will be buying the indivision, buffered IDE, and PC-Key600 from Amigakit. So slowly, my plan is coming to fruition. :D Here's something interesting though, both of the keyboards I have here, the one I'm using and the one I'm going to try to sell for Ed have the same Serial? I don't know what it means. Maybe someone here knows? Also got a new sound receiver and thought someone might be interested in my older one. I'll post it later as well.

Bought myself some planks today:

Hopefully in a few months they will have automagically transformed themselves into a couple of guitars, but I'm afraid I will have to create the sawdust myself :)

@McVenco: I see barricade material! Are a zombie outbreak occurring into your area?

Hey Steve! Have you tried Aros on this yet? It has similar specs to my own netbook and the Acer Aspire Ones, which are fully supported with native 2D video drivers (with screen dragging), audio, wireless, USB... perhaps your new netbook has a good chance of running Aros well too. Icaros and Broadway should both boot up from an external CD/DVD drive and you can install them onto a USB stick without needing to touch the internal hard drive. Not sure if that NVidia chip is supported but it should run in VESA mode fine.

As for myself, I just received a gift from my good friend Anthony, a brand new Individual Computers ACA630/30Mhz with 64MB RAM! I fitted it in my A600 and plugged in a new 4GB Sandisk CF card that I'd been preparing on my A1200 with a nice 16 colour Workbench setup, as well as a 1GB Macintosh partition for running MacOS 7.6.1.

Here's a photo of my A600 running Photoshop 4.0.

Great stuff Cammy, glad you got the ACA630

I'll have to check out Aros at some point :)

My GAL programmer FINALLY ARRIVED! :D

Those who were watching previous A3640 related threads may remember me waiting for this thing since December.

Well it's here now, and it seems to be up and running. Will have to burn some chips when I get home.
