The most recent piece of Apple hardware I ever owned still had the colored apple-logo, but today I finally fell victim to the i-virus. Behold my new iPad 2 (freebie with a newspaper subscription :))

A free iPad 2 with a newspaper subscription :o? That subscription must last years for them to recover the cost of the iPad!

Just a 2 year subscription - digital edition on the iPad from monday to friday, and the full paper version on saturday. All summed up it's not exactly "free", but I only pay about 33% of the Apple retail price, which still isn't bad :)

VAXStation 4000/60

Running at a whopping 55MHz and equipped with either 32MB or 104MB of RAM (the listing was a bit unclear on this.) Yay, another bit of neatness to feed my DEC obsession!

hp4100!! 10 years old and still going strong!

The good thing is, the toner carts are now cheaper than an inkjet... nice quality too. She's only done 30k copies which is sod all for these.

Got a couple of Floppy Terminators from Amigakit and also some more CF Cards, Cables & Adapters for my CF install service :)

Also looking forward to getting my A1200T back up and running later tonight after a period of decommission following HDD failure lol...

Just ordered a new gaming headset for my PC as i don't really like using my expensive Sennheiser HD 600's for gaming!... So i bought a cheap and cheerful 'Alienware TactX' headset :).

Two DLP Projectors

Just fell really lucky at the car boot sale this morning and found these 2 projectors:

Got them for a steal and both working too.

Little disappointed at first ....

Little disappointed at first ....

So the other day I got this 500 from the other bay.

Little disappointed at first since a key fell off as soon as I took it out of the box :(

BUT, it clicked right back on and is working great

I also noticed it was kind of a special keyboard (see pic, it needs a cleaning as there are some fuzzies living in it :o )

Upon opening the case I also noticed a memory expansion I hadn't seen before

Not too much information on this board at all, looks like the 1000 version was a bit more common. I had to figure out on which pin of Gary I had to connect the connector but it is all working now

So pretty happy now after the initial disappointment !!

It's this http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/inboard500

Glad it arrived safe & sound! I was certainly curious when I saw the package. Might be my next purchase instead of a TiVo.

Got a few more games for the collection today :-)

Congratulations for your buying again! :)

I have the following new items which are going into a build:

1 - A4000D mobo, 3.1, buster 11, 2mb/16mb, coin battery, no issues
2 - A3640
3 - RBM Towerhawk 4000
4 - FDD
5 - IDE -> CF front-load adapter
6 - PS2 mouse adapter
7 - Video Toaster 4000
8 - Video Toaster Flyer (may need to be replaced unless someone has a spare front mounting bracket)
9 - VLab Y/C
10 - Sunrize AD516
11 - DPS Personal Animation Recorder
12 - DPS Time Base Corrector IV

Any suggestions? Any curiosity to see the build (can start a new thread if so)? I can say that the TBC IV won't work with this daughtercard...it just isn't going to cut it. However I have toyed with the idea of getting an old 386 desktop just to power the tbc's and getting a few of them...or getting a kitchen sync. Thoughts? Thoughts on hard drives? Should I source old scsi drives or do scsi->ide->cf ? How fast will I need to be able to read/write?

It's basically built. And it's fun. But I need a cdrom in order to use my toaster installation...all in due time. :)

I got my still sealed, stock, german a500 with a KS1.2 rom yesterday in the mail. :)

Little beasty fired up perfectly and all i need to do now is throw some extra HW at it that I have lying around - Im also considering making it into a HxC game machine. :)

Picked up this sweetie from a very nice gentleman. It was hist first amiga, and looks to have been taken good care of. I am happy with a fair deal.

Impressed that the battery has only just sprung a small leak on one side:thumbsup:
Floppy cable seems to be defective....other than that....perfect ! :)
Forgot all about my a500 already :shhh:

Yep, Papst or Antec fan, and it's all good again, but better to replace it all the way with an mATX psu board.
