After the one I bought originally from new in 1994 for 900 Quid broke down, I got this baby from eBay in mint condition. First thing I did was watching the Star Wars Trilogy in unaltered edition w/o all the fancy SFX added by Lucas.

Ahhh, I miss the 90's home video era... buying those huge discs with their awesome cover artwork and the "experience" of flipping the discs every 60 (or even 30) minutes as well as the mechanical sound of the machine while it's loading and spinning up the disc to 1500rpm...

I wanna be 18 again ><

Nice A1000 dude!! You can also (try!) and source a 240v A1000 PSU and replace the 110v one, so no need for the step down transformer :)

Oh, and get one of Kipper2ks memory expansions for it, they are awesome! (dont forget the A1000 adapter board:thumbsup:)

Thanks Tajmaster. Just tried a new 110V step down Transformer but unfortunately it didn't power up so I'm going to seek out the PSU pin schematic and put a multimeter across it and see if its the PSU or Mobo that's poorly.

Luckily I picked up a working 240v PSU over the weekend from Sleepy_Man on here which I was going to house my GBA1000 when it is *eventually* finished :-) so I'll try that when it arrives. I assume the Euro PSU would work with the Mobo as the DC output is consistent whatever the 110/240v AC input?

The A1000 came with a front slot memory expansion and a daughterboard (shown in the second picture ) that I think is a memory upgrade... but need a PSU to power up with first.

PSU should work OK. AFAIK the DC side is the same. The front RAM slot is for a 256k Chip RAM upgrade, I think they are quite common so you should be able to get hold of one, try quarkx, I got my NTSC A1000 off him :thumbsup:

I raised a support ticket and they advised 2nd controllers will ship in a few weeks. :)

I am enjoying my Ouya tho. :)

Btw, for anyone wondering, the controllers exhibit no lag and the build quality and weight feels really nice - I just go an 8GB micro-SD card from the local phone shop and am copying Sega and Nintendo roms to it for some retro gaming awesomeness! :D

The daughterboard in the second picture is not an upgrade, but a default on most NTSC models and some early PAL ones.

Got my OUYA a couple of days ago and enjoying emulating classic consoles from Sega and Nintendo :)

Today I received my copy of the "MicroStar II" demo software disc free from Dimmer Ideas. I found the Apple II card at a thrift store when I moved here (as posted earlier) and asked for a free disc as advertised.

I cannot wait to test it out, if at least to experience the software or determine basic functionality. Then to sell it, becuase I have to practical use. :p
