Today, I received a new miniature for my collection, from a two-person "garage" outfit in Japan. Sorry for the poor pics - I only have a webcam to hand right now.

It's a really neat little piece. :D

EDIT: Finally got some better pictures;

The box.

The miniature, with a standard-sized d6 for comparison (yes, it does have a teddy bear instead of a pip for 1; Whatever do you expect from a shinobi that sews? ;) ).

Branching out

Never had an amiga when I was a kid - only a commodore plus 4 - but my mate had a c64 then an amiga, so saw this quite locally and picked it up the other day.
I have yet to plug it in and switch on - need to explain to the wife why I need another retro computer after going on about being skint......

Just wondering if there is anything I need to know about a C64. If it works, I guess I will need a SCART lead and one of those SD2IEC things as well.....added together those will cost nearly 4x what I paid for the C64 tho! So I best check it works.....

Going more retro by the day....IMAG1530.jpg

nice clean system crazyc
Looks OK - It came with the Hollywood pack outer as well.
Have now confessed to the wife, and might get to try it out tonight. I see Bombjack in the box......

EDIT:
OK - having taken it out of the packet - its not as clean as it looked - but nothing that I cannot sort out.
But, I have got to the blue start screen and it even found bombjack on the tape player! Whilst its loading i thought I would post here, make a coffee, maybe write a short book (O I had forgotten to joys of loading tape games.....) :D

Wow! Wonderboy in Monster Land. I always loved how they drew the Monsterland bit.

DooM!!! Here is my 2 second review for the SNES version. Good graphics for 16 bit, excellent sound and music and CRAP frame rate.

Beginning to refurb one of my 4000's - starting with the keyboard which was a QWERTZ layout:

So took the cleaner key caps from here and swapped them over giving the insides a clean while I was at it and viola...

A UK layout 4000 keyboard :).

Still need to whiten the casing and clean the QWERTZ keys and mount them on the 1200 backplate but quite happy with how this went.

My EverDrive GB arrived! Stone Age Gamer also includes a nice, professionally made label so I don't need to make one myself.

Got this today, not sure what model, since the badge does not say 2000 etc, and no sticker on the back. Going to have to take it apart and clean it up, maybe a model number is on the PCB.... I should add its a 5 pin din, so its either a 2k or 3 k model

Did a bit of a round trip pick up of a few items yesterday.
1. A functional but in need of a clean up up C64C with datasette
2. A working boxed Plus/4 - but see my thread in AmiOracle - the built in software doesn't appear to be present - but the joystick, datasette and games appear virtually unused.
3. A 17" TV with built in DVD player and Ipod Dock - and it even plays movies off the ipod.
