Got a nice piece of gaming technology today, a PC Engine GT! Matching serial numbers and the unit it self is working perfectly. :)

Nice and bright screen, as well as loud speaker. Supposedly it has a dead pixle, but haven't found it yet. I'm sure I won't see anything else but the dead pixle once I actually see it. :p

Very nice, I can't wait to get mine from Bas

I got a new Zalman laptop cooler and a scanline generator  Really surprised it wasn't included in the XPC-4 out of the box but I guess it's nice that I can source my own. Finally, the x68000 is nearing completion :D

relatively quiet week over here, but i had to go back to the doctor again today so i hit up the thrift store and dollar store that were on the way....
(plus i like adding to this thread.....over 6.1k replies and over 400k views at this point)

thrift store game finds: some newer stuff this time..including a game i was looking at getting a while back but hadn't...

1: King of New York (2014) board game
2: Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot (2002) card game

a few more BluRays from HMV the other day (slowly replacing my DVD collection)

1: My Cousin Vinny
2: Weekend at Bernies
3: When Harry Met Sally
4: Working Girl

and 'dollar store' stuff:

1: random 10-card packs for MtG, mostly commons, but theres usually 3 or 4 cards i can use in each pack (i largely only play a Red/Black deck)
2: some more new plastic organizers this week, ever since they went to an 'up to $3' format they have been getting some better quality stuff in and these ones are perfect for my minis as some are 'normal', but others...as you can see...are odd shaped... (Luke's Speeder juuuust fits nicely into one of the larger sections)

(and yes, it's been a slow, boring week....but at least this week i didn't have people waking me up at 7:30 every morning with power tools on the bedroom wall...)

Savior - I think you could afford a boring week or two! You must have exceptional organisational skills with the amount you collect!

A Frankenstein A500. Typically it was missing half the screws, one was rattling around inside and it has a red power LED with Revision 6 board but it all works

and hot off the press, an SD card solution for the Enterprise Sixty Four/One Two Eight. I'll leave it until the weekend before I try and set it all up

well...lets just say its a good thing that i have an in-suite storage room about the size of a small bedroom :P (and it's packed)

plus the walls in this small apartment kind of look like this:

@sir beaker

The Enterprise SD adaptor is easy to use but partitioning the SD card is the tricky bit.

There are a couple of partition images available on the enterprise forum.. :D

Once complete though it is awesome....

Not totally retro but I got a Mad Cats MOJO this week. My plan is to install it into an arcade style cabinet with my xarcade tankstick and a 32inch LCD telly. That is the long term goal. For now it's just a retro android console.

Been a while since I was last logged in here but I managed to get hold of this 80+ year old violin a few months ago (fancy case/bow I bought individually).

Nice! Is there some identification who built it? Apparently you are going to play it and not use it as a furniture ;-)

Well I was playing it until my previous music teacher got ill (I play both piano and violin). My new teacher only covers the piano... so still looking for violin teacher. :)

As for the violin, it's by an unknown maker - it's a "Stradivarius" copy (label inside) and it was produced in or around Germany according to where I bought it from (Corilon). The sound of it caught my attention more than anything - not that I personally sound that great on it (yet!) :)

I won this CDTV on an auction site for a decent price. Needs some TLC as one side of it is a little vandalised and it has a missing button, missing CD flap/door and can sometimes have difficulty reading discs.

Hopefully I can gently "bash" out the dented side without damaging the paint and find the missing button and cd door. Also i'm hoping the read issue maybe due to a dirty lens.

Another s*dding MSX....

I didn't exactly have high hopes for this one as someone had cut the cable and there was no plug but lo and behold it works fine. Not sure what was spilt on the keyboard; I thought it was coke but it was more like a lacquer and I ended up scrubbing them with CIF and my fingernails to remove it all, and the amount of dust and cobwebs inside the case... Still it cleaned up well and there's only a few small scratches in the case. I was thinking about putting it back on Amibay has I've got several MSX machines now but I actually quite like this one now for some reason....

Also, a ruddy great mess....
P1050583.jpg
Camputers Lynx, Philips MSX2, Sony HIT BIT, Amiga 500 and Enterprise One Twenty Eight. I think I need a skip!

Oh, also some of those Nintendo keychains Lidl are selling...

received my 2 240 radiators today. "with wrong fittings"
i had enough to replace them on 1, but now waiting on the other set.
had to replace my old 240 rad because i punctured it during my clean and re tube process..
STILL is an excuse to have 2 of the things now instead of 1 an a 120.

spent the day messing with it and was told off by the wife again.
i was forced to put clothes away and clean up the bathroom "where i had left a mess because i did all my re tubing and stuff in there"

Got a new PS3 last week as my trusty Phat one died. Had no space for it so got a little perspex stand so I can stack it on my XB1, hopefully it's ok like that!
