Just bought two Dell 2001FP monitors really cheap locally as they are supposedly good for Amiga 15kHz RGB. I need to assemble the RGB cable, but I have tested the monitor with S-Video from a C64 and think it looks quite good. Very stable and nice picture with smooth 50 Hz scrolling and decent input lag, so it looks good so far. A bit of deinterlacing artifacts although it is 240p and some ghosting from the IPS panel, but nothing major. I'm sure it'll work out with the Amiga as well, so quite pleased with it. :)

Oh wow, i remember those, I'm very envious!

The wife and I just bought this, we move in in 6 weeks:

Hmm, I have a DivIDE Plus for my speccy, which I love, but it's so big. I wonder differences there are between it and your MMC?

As far as I can see its pretty much exactly the same functionality, just with an SD Card, not IDE device.
If you don't need the Kempston joystick interface then you can get the PICODIVSD which is super small.

So I finally succumbed to a great deal Argos were doing for the PS4 and Witcher 3, got it home this morning, set it up in gaming room

Yup!

I can relate to that.

Mine are the same way. :-D

then again i cant talk with all these crt's i have here...

nice little setup by the way.

LOL cheers Roy, LCD for the PC Two for the Amiga's CRT's are great but space is premium.

Couple of things acquired in the last few days:

I found this nice Iomega ZIP100 USB drive for literally pocket change from a recycling center. I have a couple of disks that I haven't been able to use as my current ZIP drive is parallel.

An Arduino starter kit containing all kinds of cool stuff. There's a couple of projects I have in mind, where I could try it.

I got extremely lucky and managed to pick up this beauty for the incredible price of a couple of beers:

(My first AGA machine <3)

I've not been able to do much with it (waiting for the 3.5" PATA to CF adapter to arrive in the mail tomorrow-ish), but I'm in love.
Appears to have a standard C= 040 card, 2MB chip and 16MB fast (although I think more RAM is plugged in, as all slots are filled and 2 modules are marked "8MB").
There's an old X-surf card in there (no idea which model, it's from 1999 though), and some videocard that seems to not really do much more than provide S-video and composite (alongside standard amiga RGB).

Also included with it were a crate full of floppies (must be hundreds of 'em), a ton of old Amiga magazines, CD-ROMs, bunch of assorted cables, an "Emulator 2000" PC emulator card (8088) and this interesting contraption:

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to work as an external HD-FDD for the A4000 (that's what the cable is for anyway), but so far all it does is show up as DF2:????, even if no disk is inserted, so who knows if it works or not.

I hope to be able to upgrade it in various ways over time. Especially a 060 would be nice, but considering the prices they usually go for, I doubt I'll ever own one in my lifetime.

EDIT: here's a shot of the bin with floppies as well:

I have a DivIDE with no case. I love all these different solutions but a case just adds to the overall product imho. This new DivMMC seems too tempting to pass up and I am currently hovering over the buy button.

I've a DivIDE 2K11. All the advantages but takes up much less space :) I'd highly recommend it.

Bryce.

Thrift shop day :)

not a bad trip, though the vintage/retro console and computer stuff rarely ever makes an appearance any more, i still seem to do fairly well in my other 'interests'
