Greetings from sunny Scotland. I have been using various Amigas since the 90s and loved every minute. I have just been given a badly damaged A4000 which I would like to get working again. It was obviously stored in a damp place and several components have rusted off the PCB, but mercifully the board does not seem to have been damaged by a leaking battery. I am

I'm here to look around for any spare parts I might need to help me in the debugging and rebuilding process.

Hi and welcome to Amibay. Good luck with your project, I highly recommend getting the capacitors replaced on the motherboard and and checking carefully the traces around the simm sockets for corrosion as this is not always evident on first inspection. There's been some great refurb jobs done where cases have been stripped, rust treated and sprayed to bring the machines back to former glory.

Please share some pics of the work, we all like looking at project stories, there's a section of the forum 'Photobooth' for this if you want to share :)

Best of luck, have restored an A4000 myself. As Steve mentioned lots of good advice here, some fantastic threads on what and how it should be done.
