Hello friends.
I got my hands on some
brand new (not NOS) power switches that seem suitable for
front button monitors like the Philips CM88xx family and the firsts Commodore's 1084 made by Philips (with the power button on the front).
With a little of craftsmanship I think other monitors can be salvaged too.
I've already replaced the buttons of my two Philips CM8852 and CM8833 and they work great now.
The button in question is this one here:

Note that the piece with the two holes (1.8cm apart), won't come off as the original Philips one.
In this button that piece is one entire piece, so the monitors that have a piece of metal instead of this 2 holes need adaptation.
This last case is usually the way the rear button monitors work ... with a metal fixation on the PCB and not 2 screws.
