Hi can someone please help. I have a power computing scsi external cdrom and would like to know about the 4 coloured jumper wires from the scsi selector to the back of the sanyo cdrom. At the moment I have red wire on pin 1, blue wire on pin 2, yellow wire on pin 3 and the black wire on the pin under yellow. All colours except the back wire is on the top row of pins and black is on bottom row under yellow wire the 3rd jumper pin
On scsi mounter it picks up the drive on any id I select but its stating not ready? I know my scsi setup is correct and working because I have another scsi cdrom on my surf squirrel and that's booting and is always ready in scsi mounter but as soon as I swap over to my power computing cdrom it's stating not ready no matter what id I select ? When booting the amiga the light blinks on the busy so i know its kind of working and detected.
I was wondering if someone has knowledge of the jumper settings inside the power computing case to the sanyo drive. Maybe the colour combination is wrong?
Will this also have something to do with termination? It's the only scsi device on the pcmcia slot and not sure what the black wire does?
