Power Flyer A1200 problems

HI Guys
Me again having problems with my powerflyer 2 it seems to install ok but then the CD does not show up well that was on my first OS3.9 install.

So wiped the CF and loaded OS3.1 then loaded MUI then Loaded the FastATA software from Elbox.

First error that came up told me Setpatch error 20 so had to remove the lines for the Stack and ATA3 driver.

and of course the Prefs program finds both channels and sees both drives I have attached.

My CF card is on first port on its own does not like being attached to my DVD Drive.
My DVD drive is on the second port as slave.

Anyone any ideas as to why I cant get the drivers to work for it.

My IDEfix works perfect.

If the DVD is on it's own on the second port then it needs to be set as 'master' I had this same problem with OS3.9 which didn't seem to be an issue with WB3.1 - not sure why lol.

Mine is the FastATA MkII but it's the same thing pretty much so hopefully that'll solve it fo' ya

Tried it buddy no good I am getting an error:

C:Setpatch Failed returncode 20

I have done a fresh install of OS3.1/OS3.0 and get the same I install MUI before installing the ATA disk.

I have downloaded the Disk from Elbox and install from that. its the one for the Mk1 and MK2.

is the lines for the ata3,driver at the very top of your startup sequence if not please make sure it is.and then replace the stack 8192 command.
plus make sure you input the command manually dont let the install disk do it,it overwrites anything in the top two lins of the startup.

im saying this because the driver wont work if its after setpatch.



p.s also make sure you have absolutley no references to idefix in your startup they clash.

OS just keeps showing the error:

OH well back to my old faithful me thinks 4way ide with IDE fix. going to try loading OS3.9 via my PC onto CF Card just wondering if maybe this is a problem with the powerflyer and the CF card any ideas?oh:

OK a full weekend of trying to get my machine to work and turns out the powerflyer2 does not like my CF card as the boot device. I put back my old Maxtor 80gig and she seems to be OK now any ideas.




and just to add my CF card works great as a second harddrive ????? OH well at least I am working again.
