The most critical part of the puzzle is to find a Mediator 1200 TX, which will work with PPC on PCI. I was told by users who did a lot of research, that the quality of the MACHs and their sockets is critical. Also only Killer K1 was working on my setup. Apocalypse did not. Also one need to keep in mind that it is not working so stable on the 1200 like on a 3000/4000.

But anyhow it was real fun to got it running
Since I also own a 4000TX with Prometheus and Apocalypse the pain of selling it is not so huge

I myself have tried so many different installation setups on the A1200 and the result are always different with the PPCPCI Cards. I hope someday some one will progress the A1200 driver to give it even better compatibility

Since the rewrite did not include the part for 1200, I really doubt, that someone besides Hadeon will be able todo it.
On the other hand the bank switching design might be a bigger hardware problem.

I know and Hedeon has lost interest because the copyright holders don't seem interested in advancing the project which seems silly to me.

I love the Cards on my A4000's its great to have PPC support and they are the fastest PPC you can get for the Amiga now

An older version of the driver had some minimal support for the A1200 Mediator but was dropped due to limitations with the Z2 hacks that will never fully work like it does in the A4000.

The reason the apocalypse does not work is due to them having more than 64mb Ram, Hedeon did look briefly at this but due to the prospects of it working to any useful end it was dropped.

I would be very hesitant to sell this as A1200 supported, milage will definitely vary and in my case only real working PPC application was QuakeWOS when using AHI. Anything that hits an Amiga custom chip such as Paula is going to crash.

I kept mine in my A1200T but it doesn't offer much use beyond some basic proof of concept.

I am not selling it as 1200 supported. But as at least working to some extend, because some mediators are not even able to run so much.

I've never recorded it, but I could also listen to mp3s with AmigaAmp using AHI. Sometimes it crashes but most of the time was working. Of course using a PCI soundcard.

A good Mediator TX and Killer K1. And I would recommend a Voodoo3 a FM801 to go with it.
