There's actually already a program that will scan a folder and create a LOADER file for you. It's definitely not perfect but it does most of the hard work of creating the file. You can edit the file to fix programs that don't run. For instance, I never had it make a loader that worked with BASIC programs but I was easily able to change the entry to make it work.

It's definitely not useless! Even though it doesn't work with all programs, it does most of the hard work of creating the LOADER file. Once the LOADER is created, it's easy to modify the programs that aren't working.

The biggest issue I had was that it didn't work with any of the BASIC programs. I had to edit every entry in the LOADER to tell it the program was BASIC. I think the other issue was that the line numbering was really close together so adding anything in was difficult without using a renumbering program. You might have a switch to change that but I couldn't tell.

What would be great is a GUI that would let you change the settings of each program found before you wrote the loader file. Either that or output to a text file with the settings the program found that could be edited before writing the LOADER. Once it's in the LOADER, I had to edit it on the real system or VICE because I don't know how to edit the BASIC program from the PC.

I'm very glad you wrote the program! It does a lot of the hard work for you.
