@Jan1976 They are another arm of the infamous Amigakit.

There's a thread here discussing their performance

Yup, placed an order on March 15. My PayPal account was charged, but never got an order confirmation. Emailed them asking if they actually got my order and after running me through some non-existent process on their website, the person on the other end of the email said they would process it manually. Still no confirmation or order number, and no package is incoming to my address. Reminds me, I should probably an email them with a "WTF?!?" this week. :)

Update - I got an email today from amigakit.co.uk/amigastore.eu saying that they had a fire in their data center (!!!) and has caused delays to shipping out orders.

Are you sure this is Amigakit? NOT Amigastore.eu? I.e these:

As they are NOT affiliated with Amigakit 😉

Amigastore.eu have less products now in the store but:
They are from EU so i dont have to pay tax if i buy something.
I bought from Amigastore.com only because the have A2000 expansion card.

With Amigastore.eu i have never problems-they send quick, they give answer on my questions. They ask me (when i was looking for A600 keyboard membrane) which model i have to check that everything fix. If not they wil send me just membrane who i ordered.
Thats nice and good contact with the customer.
Amigastore from UK have this unfortunetly not and it was first and the last time when i bought something from them.

So, I was a very happy customer back in the day and all but one shopping experiences was happy with them. The one that wasn't was maybe not due to them, but a member here who had had an accident with my hardware and they were designated to try and recover an unrecoverable situation.

But honestly, recent "word of mouth" have had me skeptical on shopping there, so I've gone elsewhere for my needs.

But now I could only find the silly little piece of copper wrapped in plastics at theirs, so now I'm gonna be like

:) Not sure this is totally pertinent, but I found it humorous so thought I would share.

I stopped using Amigakit a while back as the last straw (for me) was waiting for a restored A1200 motherboard to be sent months after the date it was promised..... and then when it arrived it had an obvious fault.... and Amigakit was less than helpful to rectify the situation.

Fast forward several months later and a friend of mine with MS moved from Brisbane to Dalby and is staying in the 2 bedroom duplex behind the main house. He is refurbing and recapping several of my vintage systems as a favour for the free lodging (he is neater with an iron than I am, and more patient) and several of those systems are Amiga's..... so he is purchasing items for them, including from Amigastore. As is probably the intension, he was unaware that Amigastore WAS Amigakit and whilst it is totally up to him who he chooses to deal with, I did apprise him of the troubles I had dealing with them.

Since then Amigakit (store/inc/flimflam whatever) has insisted on calling him by my name since the postal address is the same, regardless that he is using his own name and details for ordering (which he has shown me). I found this quite humorous at first, as did he, but now I am actually slightly annoyed in the thought that they seem to think they have uncovered some sort of ordering conspiracy.... and that they have outsmarted me. :)

Seems their detective skills are no better than their delivery skills.

The Keystone Kops have a better reputation IMHO

Okay. I think you are getting things mixed up here? Amigakit.com and Amigastore.eu are separate companies that are owned by different people 😉 Amigakit is based in South Wales in the U.K. Amigastore.eu is based in Spain.

Are you definitely on about Amigakit here?

:) We are referring to Amigastore.com, not Amigastore.eu (which is indeed based in Spain and a totally separate entity).

So AmigaKit registered amigastore.com to steal business from amigastore.eu??? Slimeballs!

They registered several websites to do the same thing to other businesses.

I think they even tried it on with RetroPassion but eventually admitted that it was a mistake.

@davideo

Yes, they registered retropassion.com too. Their mistake was that they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and they still tried to deny everything. The community knew better :)

I think the best one was when they tried to hijack A1200.net's cases and sell them as their own, complete with new case stickers ... Chucky soon called them out when he discovered it.

For our dear readers ... A word of advice. If the website you are attempting to purchase from has banner graphics anything like the following ...

May I seriously suggest you think about it and maybe go and seek out another retailer.

There are more reputable ones out there!

I have bought several things from AmigaStore.eu and NEVER had a problem with them, and I've been a customer since 2000 or so, when they were AmigaSuperBit.

I know it's only my experience, but even so…

Saluditos,

Ferrán.
