PS 5 Pro

I still haven't bought a PS5, mainly due to the high demand and lack of consoles when they were first launched. Also at that time I had more important matters. My wife and I had to jet off across the pond to NY to take care of family business, so the PS5 was forgotten about. I then decided to wait until the slim was released but still haven't bought one.

From the peeps I know who own PS5's.. You aren't missing out on much. Except maybe an expensive dust collector.

Indeed, this 5 Pro could very well be here to absorb the price shock/complaint and prepare the consumer for much higher console price when the 6 is launched. It is exactly the type of a move a product manager would make.

@Sardine makes a point about inflation adjusted pricing. However, his point has a counterpoint - and that is, if adjusting for inflation, all these electronics (TVs, video games, etc.) got cheaper over time in inflation adjusted prices, is it resulting in inflation today being under-reported as these devices off-set outsized increases in other components, like...oh, I don't know...FOOD? Finally Sardine, £ lost 65% of purchasing power since Amiga 500 was out? Yikes. What a scam inflation is, right?
 
I have seen PS 5 PRO Spec and it really disappointing but The last of us 3 will showcase of PS 5 PRO I guess
 
I found amusing when Youtube people been telling everyone not buy PS 5 PRO then when come launch days and they all bought one.

The only different is PS 5 is 1440 30FPS and other is 4k 60FPS and I guess PS 5 PRO is bit sharper.
It not worth the moneys to buy as remind of 3DO when they had same price PS 5 PRO back in 1994!
 
Wait for PS5 Pro Titles, which run downscaled on PS5 and things will change.

PS5 and Xbox Series X are often render at lower resolution and upscale.
 
I think PS 5 PRO game showcase would be like Last of US 3 or Uncharted 5(next year or so) to see the different and better framerate I guess.

Not to derail but you are able to use an original PS3 to natively play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. There are some specific considerations you'll need to make when doing a rig like this but it can be done, and it's a lot of fun once it's all working.
 
We've been a Playstation family ever since I bought the original PS1 on release in the UK and went home with Ridge Racer & Theme Park. From there, I've bought multiples of each generation over the years until PS5, which I was ready to instantly buy but then noticed there were no games I actually wanted for it so, for the first time ever, I didn't. The 30th Pro tempted me, but then I realized I still didn't want it...for the same reason. I guess I'm just not that kind of gamer anymore, or they don't make anything for me because there's no $ in it. Kinda like I don't watch [series] 27 with extra explosions & pay $75 for the popcorn.

I like physical media because it's harder for them to just sell you it and an abundance of disk space, only to take it back unannounced when it suits them.

So, no -artificial nostalgia twitches aside- and an astronomical amount of extra expense just to have it, I haven't bought one and don't expect to. But I did think about it.
 
Looking on youtube on Between PSSR and FSR 4 as not much different isnt it?



it seem be hard to tell different or to make FSR4 look different!
