A while back I bought a few SD2PSX for my Bravia PS2 TV from @trippy86, which was great for having multiple Memory cards on one device.

Well, a few weeks ago, the SD2PSX got a custom firmware update, which I came across today. It allows the SD2PSX to act similarly to the MX4SIO cards but still work as a multiple memory card too.

It is still in beta phase but the results so far are very good from what I've seen.

One of the other cool features is when a game is loaded it now automatically creates a memory card for that game by using its Game ID. If there is already a memory card created for a game, it will automatically activate the memory card made for the game, saving you time finding the memory card made for the game.

Here is a YouTube video showing it in action:

Awesome! This reminds me of the PS2 MC2SIO, which is basically another version/clone based on the original MX4SIO.

I had been using SMB network sharing until my old laptop died and couldn't be bothered to set it all up again on my new laptop. I might just consider the SD2PSX option now. :) (y)
