As I said in another forum, Psygnosis was already dead when Sony bought them in 1993.

A unfortunate consequence of being gobbled up by one of the big players. Although to be fair, if Sony hadn't taken over they probably would of died a long time ago.

It's so sad all those independent gaming companies have now gone.

Even more British jobs disappear (relocation for the staff my @rse - down the jobcentre more like). Is there going to be anything left soon???

Shame to see them finally go.
They were never the same after the Amiga thou.
I used to work for Elite at the time most small games companies died off or got bought out :(

I read on what fans say

The staff should just leave, reform Psygnosis and remake a lot of their classic titles for modern systems. Back in the Amiga days you knew you were getting a great game if it had Psygnosis on the box.

Shadow of the Beast 4 Please:D

Sadly I think you have the rose tinted glasses on there. Not all Psygnosis developed games were good (Awesome and Barbarian spring to mind), and some of the good ones were not developed by Psygnosis - Apropos Beast, which was only published by Psygnosis ;)

Thing is I can't figure why they shut Liverpool Studio down, when they made good and popular games. Where's Wipeout gonna go now

well personally , apart from a couple of games that i like - most of the stuff was dire. good looks but little else.

Some of the PSX stuff was good i grant you. Still a sad day and a part of history now.
