I would be wary of Amazon UK's "
Not in stock; order now and we'll deliver when available" statement, personally. My experience (most recently with 32GB PS Vita memory cards, funnily enough) has shown me that it actually usually means something along the lines of "Discontinued, but we're trying to secure some units from any remaining stock we may be able to find". Sometimes it remains this way indefinitely, but they'll keep taking orders.
I'm another one who already had the SNES version and promised I'd buy one version or another of the remake because they released the Amiga version, and I'm going to grab the 3DS one, instead, given my past experiences with that status on Amazon.
For some reason, GAME's website states that the PS Vita version is still up for pre-ordering, although they may well have put it to that status for the same reason that Amazon has put theirs to the above.
EDIT: On closer inspection,
GAME's listing suggests that it was previously sold by them for a very brief time. From my perspective, it looks like the PS Vita release may have gotten one small run and is now out-of-print, but I'd be very happy to be wrong.
