question about the A500 expansion connector at the left

Would it work to cut the voltage lines, and have the expansions (hd and memory) of?

It would allow 100% compatibility - but wondering if this would render the machine unstable.

In short, I'm not sure

You'd still have grounds present, and pins of the expansion connected to other pins via components some of which may be passive...

whondering the same.. looks like it has +5 V and +12 V to, but I know that they sell double switches anyway.

or should gnd be enough?
