Hello Everybody:
I am the proud owner of a Dataflyer 1000, an early Amiga 1000 SCSI/IDE housing for a hard drive and (if I'd bought one) a memory expansion.
The system worked fine before I tucked it all away and it's running now, but I'm curious about the power supply for this puppy.
The box/drive runs fine on the expansion port and I've never seen/had a problem with it. The literature/manual says "an optional power supply is available" with ZERO information about its voltage, amperage, nothing. I've never SEEN even a picture of one of these. I definitely don't remember them near the shelf where/when I bought the box.
Does anybody have any info on these power supplies and how they're connected? Did anybody else buy one and can send me a picture?
Anything would be helpful....thank you!
Steven
Edit:
I found out a little bit more.
It apparently WAS created. I found a writeup (just the basics) on it; it sold for $69 at the time. Haven't found one yet though.

Aha.....very similar experience to me then.
It probably works fine....it did the last time I tested it....but I was just curious about that power supply.
Did they EVER make them? Does anybody have one they might sell me? Anybody have the specs....I assume it'll be some combination of 12V and 5V.
As you say it works fine directly off the bus, of course.
