Hi folks,
while ago I bought a WYSE PC 386 MODEL 3216, which you can see here: https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/wyse-wyse-pc-386-model-3216 (all pictures there provided by me
). I do know a bit about PCs since 1990s (I started with a 386/25 SX), but I never had one of these upgrade cards. And I couldnt find any documentation for this card, so my questions are:
1.) Do I just pop that in an ISA 16-bit slot of any 286 machine?
2.) Does it require any additional cable? The DIL socket next to the ROMs/CPU looks suspicious (see attached picture)...
3.) I only have the Wyse 990194/980194 PC386 Mother board, the Wyse 990195/980195 PC386 Daughter board and the Wyse 990199/980199 RAM BUS expansion board, but there seem to exist a Memory expansion board as well. Does it work at all without that Memory board (there are no pictures of the memory board on retroweb!)?
Thanks,
Oliver
