Sorry not for me. IMHO looks a bit dated and a ripoff of several other games, the graphics are cartoon like and do we really need yet another post apocalyptic mutant zombie type FPS game? :deadhorse
it just doesn't feel like the ground-breaking titles ID used to offer... their old doom/quake games are a million times better when you run them with an updated engine and improved models/textures....
Agree with all that's been said. It's not ground breaking nor it is as amazing as it's been hyped up to be. On top of that it's buggy as hell even with the patch. Do the developers really not give a crap about PC gamers anymore?

Its not only PC games but console games have gone the same why. Why bother paying £30 for a buggy peace of crap.
I just put the patch on to the game (the 1gb one ffs) and now not even the ati fix works so i am back to having missing gfx in the game.
By the way my system is not old
Intel Quad Core Q6600
ATI Radeon 5770
4GB 1033Mhz Cosair Dominator
2 sata hard drives 1 is 160gb and 1 is 500gb
I am running with with every thing maxed out on 1600 x 1200. I even tried to run it on the minimum settings and it still happens.
I really want to play this game but if i have to jump through hoops of fire they and go into a very dark place and thats only putting it nice.

I played it to the 3rd town where you go to the races, won a couple of them, then did 2-3 errand-missions after that... other than the occasional texture upscalling pop-up it was very very good for the 360 - up to the point I played it that is...
after that Dark Souls got released and it gets my full gaming time
Think i'll wait and see if ID and Bethesda can sort out the PC version... It's plagued with bugs and apparently the new patch is not so great :roll:
My other option is to buy the PS3 version which is not as pretty as the Xbox 360 version, but it more or less maintains a constant framerate compared to the Xbox 360 version... I would rather not get it on console though, but may be forced to if the PC version doesn't get sorted sharpish :dry:

The framerate drops considerably when the game gets busy (according to some people... Not played it yet myself). But it's supposed to look a bit sharper than the PS3 version with less texture pop-in, but the PS3 version apparently maintains a constant framerate... Which i prefer over slightly sharper graphics.
Please fix the PC version soon!!!

seriously m8, never had either of those screens on my machine, the only thing i can think of is it must be an AMD thing?
It's an ATI (AMD) problem. The patch seems to of sorted the problems with Nvidia cards. I've heard that AMD is going to release another update to deal with the issues - just like last time!
Essentially, both NVIDIA and ATI released the wrong beta driver that they had agreed with ID on.
The patch was released due to both companies releasing further updated drivers ID weren't expecting.
The NVIDIA issue wasn't quite as bad as ATI's. But both companies have now released new beta drivers optimized for the game, so no one should have any more issues at this point.
