Hey guys

I've posted this on the English Amiga board, but Zetr0 Aka Keith. Suggested I posted it here, so here is the little project I've been working on. A self contained Raspberry PI 2 model B with working USB Tank mouse.

I cut away the rear plate and designed an all new rear panel, to accommodate USB, phone and VGA. While still trying to keep faithful to the old Amiga.

Also all the Amiga hardware used was bust, so no working gear was used for this build. At least this way the old gear is used daily for a lot of things.

I've really enjoyed building this and I've tried to stay true to the old A600 as much as I could. It even has joystick ports, thanks to a keyrah v1. The Amigapi has, internal WiFi and installed a CF card where the PCMCIA port used to be. So the side slot is still in use. I'm working on fitting a floppy drive at some point.

I've also used the A600 LEDs, patching them to the power and SD card activity LEDs on the pi.

Thanks, I've seen a couple of conversion, but not many are that tidy and I wanted to make something different. The closest thing to a next gen Amiga.

Well the optical tank mouse has been working ok for a day and a bit, only issue I seem to have. Is that occasionally the cursor will shake on screen. I'm pretty sure this is because the laser is 3-4mm away from the mouse mat and not totally flush as it should be. The only way to fix this would be to take it all apart again and dremmel away more plastic. But frankly, I can't be bothered, it works well for what I need and the shake only happens occasionally.

Thanks guys, this has been a blast building and its turned out more useful then expected.
