I had go on it and updated the OS Straight away.

Bit of Hit and Miss to be honest, when you click firefox as you expected instant as maybe i had another software applications open as that could be possible but PI 5 should be managing that no problem!

Sometime it tend to froze for few seconds (dunno why)

You better off buying second hand Mini PC than PI 5 as that my honest opinion

Have you had go on PI 5?

Mine was shipped yesterday so probably be another week to get here, disappointed to hear its a bit sluggest still. Did you get the 8gb version ?

Did you get the 8gb version ? Yes :) and PI 5 should have 16GB Ram!

8gb pi 5 pre-ordered day 1

To be honest. Meh.

Supposed to be 2.5* but it cant handle basic emulation seeming slower / less optimised than pi4

I know pi5 specific drivers and optimisations should eventually arrive but we got ours day1 and still meh.

Official psu and active heatsink cooling.

Shelved until better optimisations are done

You say "Shelved until better optimisations are done"

I agree with that as take next firmware or so to fixed the problem

I have say if you have USB Stick with Raspberry PI OS then it is seem much faster than Mirco SD Card!
