Its Wayne's world's fault!

Shwing !

And that wrapper chap 50 shillings!

 this thread had me rolling around the floor. I don't have the newest phone there is but i still take the time to write proper texts.
Some people just be illin' when they should be chillin'.

Although I can decipher what's written, those texts annoys me to the hell.

And don't think this plague is spreading only in english texts! Brazilian portuguese have the very same neologisms and shorten words that makes reading a phrase an exercise of creativity.

Sum this slack behaviour with people that really don't know how to write or do not have sufficient skills to write a phrase that is not badly misspelled and you get the picture.

I definitely born in the wrong century!

not just texts, the youth are really getting lazy on all fronts.
Have you seen the movie "Idiocracy"? I look at that a a scary foretelling of the future. The writers have it spot on,:picard
--------------------------------
For those that have not seen it, it's about an average guy that gets frozen and wakes up in the future, were the population is so "dumbed down" he is the smartest man alive.
-Sort of a reversed Futurama.
twisted dark humor, but scary truth.

I think this way today! So the idiocracy is right now.

Functional analphabetism, anyone?

Why do all the kids these days refer to everything as 'sick'? If you're so 'sick' then go to see a bloody doctor! Thank god I grew up in the Amiga days before it all went boobs up. Social fabric these days is bollox!

Well, didn't things used to be 'heavy' back when we were young? And there wasn't even anything wrong with earth's gravity. :p

Im sure everything was wicked or cool years ago...

I generally get normal usable texts off anyone I know, as we're all old enough to realise predictive text was there so you could type the right words in, rather then inventing your own...

That said, on facebook people post thing sup thats kinda like n0rm4L oLd 5k00l l33t sp34k saying how amazing it is that the human mind can fix things without us thinking about it... I usually reply, ive been reading it for 20 years plus, Im fluent... has the rest of the population only just descovered it?

leet speak and what ever is going on these days are quite different.

I'm glad I'm not the only one .... I've going to be be 30 later this year, and I really hate this 'sick' thing ..... as far as I'm concerned, sick means ill or poorly.

The phrase I hate the most is "it's well sick, innit?" ..... drives me nuts!
