Hello all! In the late 80's early 90's I owned an Amiga 500 with several games. Sadly I missed the best of Amiga due to low popularity of the computer here and waning interest from me due to emerging consoles of the time, mainly Sega Genesis and SNES that I turned to for my gaming needs. I do remember loving it when I had it though and now I look back on that time wishing I would have kept my system and all the games.

My renewed interest in the Amiga brings me here to look for some of the Amiga greats such as the Turrican series and Shadow of the Beast series. Of course I would love more than these series, but they are good for a start.

I am currently looking at many of the Amiga sites out there like Lemon Amiga to look at some of the underappreciated gems that I may have missed or wasn't released in the U.S. at all.

At this time I am interested in emulating these classics via my PC, but maybe after I build up my collection a bit it will inspire me to buy hardware again. The region of the software that I want to collect doesn't matter to me at this time since I will be playing these games via an emulator.

I do understand that the vast majority of the software available is in PAL territories, but again I am OK with that. I have looked on eBay and the prices make me weep so hopefully I will have better luck finding the software I want at a fair market price.

Thanks for reading my thread and maybe I will see you around sometime.

Welcome (back) crazyfingers.. Keep an eye at the hardware and software sales sections here at Amibay.
Its no bidding here, its first come first served so better chance to get fair prices maybe.

Welcome! I'm in the US too and found a lot of the people here very helpful. I picked up a PAL A1200 with a flickerfixer in it, and it works fine even in PAL modes on my Vizio LCD. The prices here are much more fair and I haven't had a bad experience here yet. Hope you enjoy the community here
