They looked very similar to the broken one in my monitor and except for the two extra pins along the edge (which I cut off) it worked flawlessly. I am now able to turn on the monitor without squeezing in a wooden chip to hold it in place :-)

Maybe this information could be benefit other 1940 owners who has a broken switch?

Thanks for the update. I will update the 1st post. Feedbacks exchanged
 
I have updated the price to reflect Deutsche Post's restrictions. Apparently my packet's are 2mm more than is allowed and this adds about 50% to the price of postage. The packages returned to me I have resent and paid the new postage price out of my own pocket. Sorry for any delays.
