I wish they did stuff like this near me. In the states, old computers are kind of a joke to people. I only know of 2 people who are Amiga fans and I met them on the BBS's back in the late 80s early 90s. But they are not fans of any other retro computer. I am a fan of all retro computers and most people come to my house and look at it all and ask "What's the point?" LOL
No one appreciates retro computers where I live. If it isn't a quad core 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram they don't care.

I wish I was about. 
Hopefully they'll have one after July. I keep meaning to go along and take my lad, he'd really love this and I think a one day event would be a nice way to introduce him to it.

It's strange you say that, we have a few members now from over your side of the pond, and A.org is primarily N. American. I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to organise a small event?
I imagine there may be more interest than you might think. Just look at r3play in the UK, it was pretty big and the UK is tiny in comparison to the US (although that might have actually helped out as we're more "concentrated").
Doesn't the US have a reputation for doing everything 'bigger'?
Hopefully they'll have one after July. I keep meaning to go along and take my lad, he'd really love this and I think a one day event would be a nice way to introduce him to it.

It might just be my area too though. Where I live everyone thinks what I do is stupid. heh
I just always assumed that people in the UK appreciate retro computers more than US. Most people in the US that I have come across never even heard of Amiga computers. I finally ran into someone who knows about Amigas and wouldn't you know it...he is from Manchester. LOL

We going, for now 2 people from Atari scene from London, i working for more. We have some empty space in car. Also i add myself as donor for this museum, some Atari stuff what is missing on the list.
To all that are going... we could arrange a drink at some point??
I'd need to run it by the lads I'm coming up with but sounds a good idea to me.
