Revival Mini Event - 7th / 8th December 2013 - anyone going?

Just got this Email in my Inbox:

Hi there,

If you attended our Revival event back in May then thanks for your support.

We are pleased to announce 'Revival Mini 2013' which is a cut down version of our flagship May event that will boast 30+ arcade machines, pinball tables, 50+ computers and consoles to play on, a smattering of retro celebrities and competitions galore. The VR unit that was extremely popular at Revival 2013 will also be present.

The event is over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th November at the Wardens Cricket Club in Kenilworth. There will only be 225 tickets for sale for the event, so if you fancy coming along then please do buy your tickets early as they will not be available on the door.

Maybe a few of us could go up for one day?

It doesn't sound like they need people for displaying stuff so it could be a just for fun mini meet?

I'd be up for Saturday, maybe go for something to eat in the evening and possibly stay over.

Although the dates might be very close to Play Expo...

Not sure about this one, it's a bit close to Play Expo timewise.
Will need to investigate costs, for now it's a maybe.

ETA: Just had a look, the venue seems a bit difficult to get to for non-drivers!

I'm putting it in the diary as a very definite probable, but will be bringing my kids with me for this. A small event like this would be a good introduction for them to the scene.

UK Mike from the Retro Gaming Roundup Podcast will be attending again but he won't have a booth, i only just found this out but unfortunately it's going to be a miss for me. I might be able to get myself, Fiancee and Scrappysphinx out to Play Expo for a day so that's what i will concentrate on i think.


EDIT: On the subject of Revival event's - i was reading my lastest copy of RetroGamer that came in the post yesterday and saw a familiar name. see what you make of it. (RG 118/PG 7)
