2022-07-23 update : Sold to Hirsch

Due to space issues I'm currently downsizing my own retro museum. I've just sold my Apple corner and after a lot of hesitation I'm now selling one of the crown jewel of my soundcards collection, a Roland Sound Canvas SCB-55 in mint condition and complete in box with all manuals and floppies (the floppies aren't sealed because I've taken the liberty to dump their contents).

For those who do not know about this rare card, it's basically a SC-55 but in a daughter board form factor. You'll need a soundcard (ie. Sound Blaster 16) with a dedicated "waveblaster" connector to use it. Ideal for a collector or even for musicians or gamers who wants a minimal setup without messing with MIDI cables and external gear. I'd appreciate if it will be bought by a musician who would intend to use it to make music, but that's a preference of mine not a requirement.

Here are some pics (do not hesitate if you want more pictures taken) :

Hear the SCB-55 in action :

I'm asking 450€ for it, shipping from France excluded (I will ship it insured and tracked, like all my other items I've sold there). I'm open to questions about the SCB-55 (technical or not), just ask away ! :^)

Please provide proof of ownership as per this topic Please read me before posting - Amibay.com Forum

Failure to do so will result in this topic being closed

Sorry davideo, as I wasn't asked to do that for my previous sales I wronly thought that this rule wasn't enforced/needed anymore. Will upload additional pics with such proof in the next hours. Thank you for bringing that up to me and again sorry for that.

Do you have a picture of the vinyl spacers?

I'm not sure to understand your request. Are you asking about the cardboard spacers or maybe the plastic wraps around floppies and the card? I can take and upload pics this evening as I come back home.

Proof of ownership is now required and will always be required unless otherwise stated If you have a post count of less than 50 (which you have) or a feedback score of less than ten (feedback currently not working).

You will be expected to provide proof of ownership for items of a value of 50€ ( Total sale value inc fees & Postage ) or more.

Please provide proof or ownership as requested
Thank you,

It looks as though all your previous "For Sale" topics were created prior to the proof of ownership rule being brought in.

I am talking about the vinyl PCB spacers used to keep the daughter board properly in places. They go in the four holes at the corners of the daughter board into the four holes on the host card equally spacerd around the wavetable header.

I see, I don't remember the SCB-55 coming with that nor reading a mention of them on the box and I don't believe to ever saw these with other SCB-55 and daughter boards out there. Feel free to correct me though if you have pics of such spacers!

Also I just uploaded new pics with proof of ownership, feel free to ask for more pics if you want something more detailed.

I believe they are already installed in the holes on the SCB-55 when it is new. It is also depicted with spacers in the back of the box on the SCD-15 like the one you have and in the manual of the SCB-55 which is the board you have.

Thanks for your answer. I never saw them with my SCB-55 (bought new back then) and I've saw other SCB-55 in synths (Charlie Lab) but without any of these vinyl spacers. That being said I got a real nice local electronic store so I can go there, buy some and add them to the package if people feel the need for it, that's actually not a bad idea at all.

Even if that's the case this rule is actually good for both the seller and the buyer so I'll stick to it for my sales from now on, even for the sub 50€ items. Again sorry for this mistake

Small update from my side: Jonas-fr and I agreed on the payment method (PayPal goods and services, I'll cover the fees). I'll send the payment as soon as Jonas-fr determined the shipping costs.

Payment received, package is ready to go. Will keep you posted privately on the tracking number.

SCB-55 arrived today well packaged and is in great optical condition. I'll test it later since I'll be on a trip for some days.

I take pride in doing secure packings that protect well such precious items like those so I'm not surprised but still happy you received it in perfect condition. Enjoy your SCB-55!

Updating the topic.
