yes ok i work for them, put that aside...
i was just filling out my first claim form for an ebay item the buyer "claimed" never got there. (probably closely followed by steves icybox if they don't pull their fingers out of their asses)

anyway This is a little less of a rant and more of amusement for myself turns out the customer services for Royal Mail is in Plymouth where i happen to live...maybe ill pay the gits a visit..

Hey mate, its really strange my situation. Small items posted yesterday arrived with me today. But anything big takes over a week!

Sad isn't it, i wouldn't use Royal Mail to send it to you and i work for them. Says a lot about my trust level...and the fact they overcharge on large things i refuse to pay what they charge. The excuse for the letters side is that they lose money due to the fact we have to offer a universal service to all parts of the country but that doesn't mean they can charge stupid rates on all other mail to make up for it

hi i will add something to this

i have just had a little thing with my blizzard scsikit i got off DyLucke in spain

he sent it me on 13/06/2011

it got to the uk on 16/06/2011

the postman said he tried to deliver on the 18/06/11 but no-one answerd but we were in and heard nothing and (no card)

on 20/06/11 the postie left a card saying above.

so i booked a redelivery to a local post office for today(22/06/11)

on 21/06/11 the postie came again and we asked where is my scsikit and he said that it was at the sorting office and said get parcels recorded delivery.

so today the postie deliverd some letters and went, At 11:30 my mother went to the post office to pick up my parcel and it wasnt there and they said try the sorting office, so she did and it wasnt there either. so where is it?

i phoned the sorting office and the 2 numbers on the card and could not get through.

then at 1pm my mother was just about to go to the local shop when the postman pulled up in his own car and handed my scsikit to her and said he just found it in his bag.
she asked what had happend to it and he said that he knocked the door down on saturday but no answer and tried the nighbours too but the same. there was someone in both houses at the time and nothing heard all day.

ok sorry for this but i checked my package when i got home and on it was my full address which is 372

and scribbled out was 739 so thats why i never got it on 18/06/11 the stupid postie is either blind or cant read and was knocking the wrong door.

so im really lucky as i did receive it in the end

ps i also found out today my brother had a letter today which was surposed to have his bank paying in book in and inside was a notice off the police saying it had been found out that a person from the royalmail had been suspended because of mail going missing and would he get in touch.

Is it just me or is stuff taking longer to arrive now?
I used to get 1st class packs in 2 days max now it takes like Steve says about a week. 2nd class add another 3 days or so to that. :huh:

Trading Standards had the Royal Mail prosecuted under EU laws introduced by Brussels, for not using real snails to deliver their so-called 'snail mail'; I thought everyone knew.....

I'll tell you what we get, 50 free stamps at christmas...And actually i have been noticing that mail is being really slow at the moment. I have no idea why because other than it being a bit busier for fathers day it's dead atm

No sign of my HDD Caddy yet - I asked the guy who delivered a few small bits yesterday whats going on, he said the problem is they (the moring postie's) can't carry the bigger stuff so its delivered by Van in the afternoon.

But... most staff go home at 1pm so no-one does the afternoon drops oh:

I said that when it took 2 months for an item to get to Greece but customer services said they on compensate for loss unless its special delivery... Try not to get stressed mate, it'll get here
