Dear admins,

one of you changed the status of my sales-thread from "Reserved" to "Sold" after just the buyer confirmed that he has sent the payment. Sending a payment is not equivalent to receiving the (whole) payment – there could still have been a typo in the mail-address or he messed up with the friends & family option.

Thanks!

As soon as payment is sent and declared received, the item is sold and no one else need to bother declaring interest. When it's over and confirmed received it is marked as closed.
If payment is not received in full for whatever reason, disclose it on the thread.

Well, Xanxi, in my case (Blizzard 1230 in the Amiga-forum) I declared the payment as received when my thread was already marked as "Sold" from someone. And it's not that I was sloppy in keeping the thread updated ;) – the thread was updated from "For Sale" to "Reserved".

I am not sure which thread you are refiring or which staff member did what, (which is irrelevant) but, if the buyer stated payment had been initiated, then the chances of them backing out at that point would be next to zero. And lets say a mistake was made (which it wasn't), this would have been corrected, so the item was effectively sold.

Carry on (y)

@mascheko because @Amiga_Walker clearly stated he had sent payment then it's correct that it should be marked as Sold

Payment sent. PM. Thanks.

We change the prefixes as and when we spot they need changing as we've done from day one and will continue to do so.
