Hey,
Took me a while to join this place. I'm a member of Yakyak, Way of the rodent and retrogamer forum as Pinkfearie so hi to any others from there. This place was recomended by a ebay seller (thanks :D) Favourite console, mostly because of appearance is the mastrad CPC 464 or Gameboy for sheer 'I can smack my older sister on the head with this' as a child.
So hi :D

Hey! Glad you joined! If you love retro you will love it here :D

(BTW, it was me on eBay  )

Thought it was :D In the process of sourcing bits to fix up my franken Clamshell at minute and now a freind wants one so will be giving them the one from you when Ive gave it a bigger hard drive :D

LOL, I am literally just this minute wrapping it up! The drive will definatley need to be upgraded, its tiny! Ubuntu has almost filled it up, lol.

I gave up on it because I couldnt get hold of Mac OS Tiger (a member on here, BrooksterMax, kindly sold me a PSU to confirm it worked a while back) and I bought a 512MB SODIMM in the hope of testing it out with Mac OS but Im more an Amiga person so lost interest.

I have the 10.4 disks luckily from my Frankenclam, (bits of graphite, blueberry, tangerine :D) so can install it easily and can get a ide hdd from work.

This post is useless without pictures. We want pictures of the Frankenclam!!

hi,
i'm not sure why but your user name scares me!
A combination of various online names. And possible IRL situations that have cropped up (maybe best not to repeat them online tee hee)

wow... what people do with their pinky toe's never cease to amaze me...

Although I have read online that some medical experts suggest that this could bring on premature blindness in fellow forum chummies.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, problem is them apples ain't cheap!!!

A Limited Edition Hello Kitty Clamshell! Wow, a real collectors item methinks!

Changing HDs on clamshells is fun isn't it? Definitely a user-serviceable part after 100 steps and hours later of work :)

The 2001 dual usb model was equally as fun!

I prefer stripping down the clamshells to the G4 Powerbooks and their sibling iBooks. Now those are evil, I gashed my hands up something chronic on them

ok so you might have to cut the ears off

So new board arrived this morning as well as the iBook from Taj. Upon going to fit new board in my Frankenclam I realised my current base has no hole for firewire so out came the dremel.

It will look better once the board is fitted but Hellloo 10.4 :D Just needs the keyboard to arrive now and to buy a new optical drive :D I found a keylime optical drive so once thats aqquired, itll be made out of 4 different clams.
