Hi,

I just registered as a user on Amibay as I have a some old computers that I loved as a kid and now need to get rid of (give away).
I've got a BBC Model B, a Master 128, an Amstrad PCW and a Sinclair Spectrum. They're all old and a bit knackered but may be useful for parts.

Regards,

Adrian.

Hi Adrian and welcome to AmiBay.

It's better to read the rules, to understand how the site works in terms of selling; very useful. :)

More details of the computers I'm trying to give away...

BBC Model B - Was my pride and joy as a kid. Has been in the loft and no longer boots but power supply seems to work. Might be useful for parts.
There's a Sanyo colour monitor too.

Master 128 - Was booting and displaying:

Acorm MOS
Acorn ADFS

Had it plugged in and on for about 5 minutes and the power supply just went up in smoke. Probably just a dry electrolytic capacitor. Could be an easy fix.

Amstrad PCW 265
Monitor and printer. Like the other stuff, this has been sitting in the loft for ten years and may be knackered.

Sinclair Spectrum
No idea if it works. Probably busted.

I need to bet this stuff shifted in the next week or so. It probably all belongs in the dump but if you feel otherwise and want to pick it up from Reading, Berks then get in touch.

Hi Mate,

Is this the Amstrad PCW 8256? A green screen monitor with 1 or 2 disk drives on the right hand side?

Cant claim interest, because I can't collect.
Nor do I have space :)

Sinclair Spectrum
No idea if it works. Probably busted.

If you could possibly post this I would be interested. Which model is it? Rubber keys?
If you can't post, thats fine, but if you can, I will make sure you're not out of pocket via Paypal.

If the spectrum works I'd be very surprised. I've got a stack of them here all with manky keyboard membranes, never seen a "found" one that didn't have this up.

Maybe I'll eventually get around to doing them all.

The Spectrum is a rubber keys model. A friend gave it to me used years ago and it is unlikely to be working properly.

The Amstrad is a PCW8256 with a green screen, a single 3" disk drive and a dot matrix printer.
