Hi All,

I have so many manuals, magazines, pamphlets (and product boxes) in storage that I have decided to cut the bindings and scan them so they can be recycled. I have 15+ boxes to sort and scan. This is a full year project (still have a day job), but if there is anyone that wants them after I scan them, I will mail them (just pay shipping). Also if there are manuals that are rare that I should not cut, please let me know so I can scan them differently. I don't have much interest in collecting the manuals, and would rather have the space. As I scan them, I will post the names and files in these thread.

Again, let me know if there are items I should consider preserving. Thanks.

That's a very good effort you're undertaking to preserve everything. Some of the magazines may already be available online (e.g. the Internet Archive or the DLH Commodore archive, but manuals and pamphlets are more rare. Maybe err on the side of caution and don't alter any of the manuals and pamphlets? Just a thought, not sure how many you are dealing with.

I'm not sure of current USPS Media Mail pricing but I'd be willing to help.

A standard should also be set - 600dpi(?) scans + OCR generation + saved as PDF search-able. Anything else?

Just FYI, I used NAPS2 to scan.
