Sold Sega Megadrive multi-region - Boxed

Hey guys, now I'm preparing to move, I have some final bits I'd like to shift that I won't be able to leave behind.

With that in mind I'm selling my project Megadrive. It is an original PAL model with the High Definition text around the top and has been modded with PAL / NTSC 50 / 60Hz switches to the rear. The holes have been poorly cut but are not particularly bad looking unless you inspect the switch area. (I will add some pics soon).

Included is a regular pad, an official Sega 6 button pad, PSU and a sought after RGB Scart for the best experience. I can also include a standard Sega RF cable.

With the Megadrive I will include Altered Beast as it is the game that came with it as pictured on the box. I will also throw in Bare Knuckle (Jap version of Streets of Rage, which is famous for translating its text on the fly when you mess with the 50/60Hz switch on modded Megadrives).

Asking £55 + postage @ cost for this awesome package.

The Megadrive box? It's the only Altered Beast box I've seen for Megadrives yes.

Here we are, flipped it around on the second pic so you can see the reverse side.

The only other altered beast box I've seen is the NTSC (US) one which is admittedly a bit nicer.

Just noticed the marker pen is still on it where I measured the switches. Can remove that quite easily if necessary.

My TV being a Samsung LCD, I have the much documented issue with the vertical lines on the picture. They don't show up on the images though as they're extremely feint. This is no fault of the cable or the console, more of modern technology.


Okay, the first 4 are without RGB mode, so normal composite through the same cable, but on a non RGB input (Composite scart input on my TV) and the other lot of images are in RGB mode, from the RGB input on my TV just to show the difference.

The iPad doesn't have the best cam so they're all slightly out of focus but the differences can still clearly be seen. If yoi compare the 3rd one with the 7th, they're almost the same shot. 3 is composite, 7 is RGB. The difference can clearly be seen

I also switched between Jap and US modes to show the region switching in action while the game was on This can be seen by the text changing from Eng to Jap and back on some of the pics.

Okay sounds good. Just with all the rules discussions lately I was a bit iffy as to whether that was too ambiguous. Conditional interests can be touchy things.
