Sorry, realized that I put a silly price on this. Have reduced to £250.

There's no shame in trying a higher price first to test the market, it's a great collection, one many would be envious of. Good luck with your sale

that puts my sale to shame, great collection, good luck with sale.

How did Smok1112 contact you as there is no declaration of interest in this thread?

How did Smok1112 contact you as there is no declaration of interest in this thread?

Changed the message to read 'Declaring interest' - hope that better sits with the rules.

Smok1112 made contact via PM regarding postage costs and I said I would put the message in the thread for him.

Smok1112 should come and post his interest himself in the thread. I'm not trying to be awkward and wish you luck with the sale but it's in the rules that members should post in the thread and then pm.

If you wish to buy an item, you must declare interest in the thread. If there are multiple items on offer, you must specify which item(s) or how many you're interested in. In both cases, this should be clear and unambiguous. Please avoid vague statements like "PM sent" or "I might be interested in...", use direct wording such as , "I am interested in...". The clearer you are in your assertions the less likely there will be any ambiguity as to who is next in line. Remember, English isn't everyone's first language here.

If you need more information about the item, you can declare interest and state that it's "pending some further information". Where reasonable, the information requested should be posted in the thread.

If another member has already declared interest, then they are first in line. You may also declare interest to be "next in line".

When there are multiple items on offer in a thread, you must declare which item(s) or how many you are interested in.

Sending a private message before declaring interest is considered "silent bidding". You will lose your place in line to someone who has declared interest in the thread.

You're assuming he was interested in buying it when he pm'd him. Could it not be the case he wanted information about the postage cost to decide if he was interested and then intended to declare it in the thread once he had made his mind up (but the seller did it on his behalf as it's allowed to declare interest on behalf of an other)? If your view stands correct, then any declaration of interest in a thread by someone on behalf of someone else is completely null and void.

@Acid

The normal procedure which a lot of members follow is something along the lines of
Declare interest for whatever depending on postage to wherever

This way all of the members are aware of what is happening within the thread as well as the Mods etc.

You're correct, I am assuming he was interested, by asking for postage costs is a possible interest pending shipping costs, therefore i personally (and my take on the rules) would be to declare interest pending postage cost.

If someone were to come and declare interest in the thread now then he would not be 1st in line as his interest would be null and void.

If i'm wrong then i apologise and let the thread continue..

How has this amazing collection not been snapped up yet????
Have you tried putting it on retrocollect.com too? :)

Declaring interest - this looks too good to pass up. Specially after not getting the multi mega, I think I will regret that!

PM sent regarding postage costs.
