Hi all
Just a quick question, I've heard that Sensible Soccer on the CD32 has some spoken commentary, albeit maybe just 3 sample bits. That said, I've played Sensible Soccer v1.1 and v1.2 and none of these seem to have commentary.
Does anyone know if commentary is actually on the game(s) or is it an urban myth?
Just curious to know.

My versions do not have speech either, and to be precise, I never heard of such thing, therefore might be an urban myth as you say.

Thanks for the feedback. I was just checking the Lemon Amiga website and the review from CD32 gamer Sep 1994 says the CD32 has speech samples but I’ve never heard them on my version. Not sure if a bug in the game or that there just is no speech. If there is speech it’s quite a thing for a game from 1994

If those speech samples are just a single word, then it's a possibility, but full commentary not. It's not big thing for a game to have speech, we're talking about CD-ROM media. Take a look for example the adventure games for CD32: Simon the Sorcerer or Dark Seed (you avoid flickering as well), all have full speech.

Having done a bit of research it seems there are supposed to be 3 speech samples used in the game but I have never heard them on my versions.

Maybe the review copy had it in there but it was disabled in the final version for some reason?
