Shapeshifter info needed please

Hi guys 'n' gals,

i quite fancy messing about the Shapeshifter (want to try Marathon for those that don't know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqttHlVLMm0)
i have shapeshifter, a quad650 rom and Cammys zipped install.

i think i add Cammy's file as a hard file? and shapeshifter seems to find and use the rom, but all i get is a grey screen?

is there a complete idiots guide to using shapeshifter out there? i know i am not doing something or i am doing something wrong, but what is it?

You also have to set up a compatible screenmode. Tell us more about your setup and i will tell you what to do there.

Your ROM file will work only if you have a 040 or 060 CPU. If 030, look for an older Mac ROM.

Fortunately i am at home this morning so here are some screenshots from my A1200 AGA 1260.

Video and RAM are the only problematic settings.

I am uising the MuEVD external driver (same as Cammy) from the Mu package.

Mac benchmarks show that this A1200 reach 0,7 * the video speed of the Quadra 900 (several times the CPU speed of the Quadra 900 with my 1260). My A2000 (060 with Z2 RTG) is only 0,6, and my A4000 (060 with Z3 RTG was about 1,4).

I'm not using Cammy hardfile, i have my own system under MacOS 7.5.5 (which is free on Apple FTP by the way).
As far as i know, her hardfile is small but can boot without anything else to MacOS 7.6. Of course you need to unzip it.

Sorry to wake this topic. I'm working with ShapShifter using an Apollo 1260 but I can not work with 256 colors, it's all black and white. I do not know how to configure MuEVD. Could someone please help me do this? I really want to be able to work with colorful Shapeshifter. Please.

Assuming you have selected a colour screenmode in the settings before you launch SS you then need to go to the screenmode options within MACOS and change the monitor setting to colour as well, does this help?
